Which is better? I'd like your opinions if you own either.

I personally like having a full qwerty keyboard, so the BlackBerry curve would be my choice.
If you want a BlackBerry that will give you almost the same experience as an iPhone but for half the costs, check out my post on the upcoming BlackBerry 8820.
Currently I'm using a BlackBerry 8700 which I've turned into an iBerry :) but plan on getting an 8820 once they are released here in the U.S. later in the summer.

That BlackBerry 8820 looks so much better than the older BlackBerries! I bet it acts much nicer too.
I think I'd rather have a Pearl though.

@alisa: BB Pearls are nice but I much prefer the full QWERTY keyboards verses T9 (Text on 9 keys).
I'm looking forward to the 8820. Should be available in the US in the coming weeks.

Well, except that on a pearl you'd have to make that T15 or T20 if you count the space key, delete key and symbols.

@JeffJ: T9, T15, T1000, hehe... My point was basically I personally prefer full QWERTY keyboards to using SureType keyboards.

Heh, yeah I get your point Sean. I guess I'm just saying that T-whatever is a nice compromise between T9 and a full qwerty keyboard.

The only main difference that I can see between the two is one has a full keyboard and the other doesn't. My cousin has the Pearl, and I don't know... it's not like right this very moment I'd be doing a lot of emailing and such, but maybe down the road I would want a full keyboard? But then again, I guess it comes down to preference.
What about the screens? Are the prone to scratches?
PS: And doesn't Cingular have some "program" where you can upgrade your phone? Does that apply to BlackBerry's too?

I prefer the curve, if not for the full qwerty then definitely for the screen size and the holster.

I'd prefer the pearl only for its design, but speed of typing you have to go with the Curve I would think.

Speed of typing? I think I type faster on the pearl... less keys to move around to once you memorize the layout. For example 'Re' for 'Reams' is the same key pressed twice... pretty quick!
The Pearl fits so wonderfully in my pocket... perfect size, great phone. My favorite by far.

The pearl is lovely - but I'm afraid the curve has my vote, purely from a keyboard perspective.
