If you are both an Apple OSX user as well as an avid IRCer what client do you find to be the most feature rich OSX IRC client available?
I ask because I can not seem to find something that I am truly comfortable with. While Colloquy is nice I find having the user list on the left horrifyingly annoying. Either I am embarrassingly too stupid to figure out how to get the user list on the right or that preference does not exist. There are other quirks that have caused me to not feel as comfortable with the client as I was with mIRC.
I've played with a few others and just not found anything worthy yet. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas or opinions?

XChat works in OSX, doesn't it?

I use BitchX in the terminal ;)
Yes, there is an xChat client for OS X as well. - xChat Aqua

I think you can change the list side in Colloquy.... not sure how though. When it was a drawer - you could simply move the window to the side of your screen... now that it is a sidebar, it may not work that way.
I use Colloquy or Pibb.com

if it's a system tray I think you're stuck... I may be wrong though.
I have no way of checking for about 3 more weeks until I'm back in OS X.

I'm a Colloquy user, personally. You can set it as either a sidebar with full channel and user list, or a per-channel drawer, with the channels in tabs below. I use the drawer and tabs -- and though you can collapse the drawer (my preference), as far as I'm aware, there's no way to get it on the right.
As for other clients, there is indeed an Xchat client. There's also an OS X IRSSI port you could try -- and that does put the user list on the right. I found it to be quite sluggish though, despite preferring it overall.
Edit: MacIrssi.

I use Colloquy, though if you want to log, I would sincerely recommend anything else (unless it's changed in the last year).

I use Colloquy occasionally. IRC still exists then?
What's a good place to hang out anymore?

I use Colloquy for the majority of my IRC needs because it's full featured but it sure has a giant footprint. I use MacIRSSI every once in a while too when Colloquy angers me or it's just being a hog. :)

Colloquy here as well. I liked it better than X and Aqua.

Looks as if Colloquy is the best thing going for IRC on OSX. Maybe I will just have to adjust my brain so that it is used to the user list on the left as opposed to the right. After all, everything else in OSX is on the opposite side so maybe this wont be so hard to deal with after all.

I use Colloquy. It's buggy every once in a while but I get by. I've tried IRSSI but I left it after a while.

I use IRC so little, Colloquy does the job just fine. I'm a total IRC n00b; I know how to join a channel and talk, and that's about it.
The quotes on bash.org are still fun to read though. :p

People still use IRC?
Back in the day I would use Snak and was very happy with it.

I use X-chat Aqua and really like it. In the past I've tried all the others mentioned above, but always come back to X-chat. Quick, stable, small and simple but still has all of the power-user features I want.

Just FYI: you can change the Sidebar to a Drawer and the Drawer side in Preferences > Interface in Colloquy

I enjoy Colloquy as my primary IRC client. I usually hang out in the Chyrp Dev room or the What.cd rooms, so I don't use it very much. But when I do use it, I get a lot out of the program.
I like the customization that it allows. There isn't a lot of development going on for plugins and the like, but there's enough built-in functionality and scripting support to where you can make your own CSS files and code some good themes/skins.
Colloquy is also the best designed IRC client (if IRC should be pretty). It has a native Mac OS X interface, so I'm pretty happy with how it looks compared to other running applications.
