Along the lines of Ralph's WP post, I'm curious to see what everyone's top firefox extensions are. Here are mine, most of them are web dev related:

  • aardvark
  • colorzilla
  • firebug
  • foxmarks
  • html validator
  • ie tab
  • mcafee siteadvisor
  • no script
  • showip
  • web developer

I quite like the web developer toolbar and IE Tab.
I think I will check out some of those that you have listed, especially as they're web dev related :-)

Web Dev Toolbar
StumbleUpon
IeTab
Live PageRank
GreaseMonkey
ColourZilla
And Delicious

My window is well equipped :P

- Firebug (best toolbar for developers!)
- Web Dev toolbar
- Tab Mix Plus

Firebug
Web Developer
IETab
Download statusbar (I don't see how people live without it)
PDF Download
SiteAdvisor
Adblock Plus

  1. Gmail Manager for email
  2. Web developer toolbar
  3. Firebug for debugging
  4. Colorzilla for color picking
  5. Delicious (oldschool) for bookmarks
  6. Google notebook for randomness
  7. Scrapbook for pretty sites

For the delicious toolbar, I don't even have the icons or use the menu, because the Ctrl + Shift + / shortcut is so convenient. I've never head of Firebug though, I'll have to check it out, even though the top of my browser is big enough with SU and Web Developer.

Firebug sits as a little icon in the status bar until you need it. It is total awesomeness.

Take a look at my browser. Pretty soon I'll be adding a streaming, scrolling CNN News and Stock ticker.

Can't go without:

Gmail notifier extension
Firebug
GSpace - use a gmail account to store files

FireBug :D Yay. That's the only firefox extension I have, sadly.

I had so many when I used Windows.
I forgot which ones I had.
I think installing too many though sometimes makes firefox crash on you.

Right now I only have:

Colorzilla
WebDeveloper
and Firebug [Thanks, CHRIS!]

And that's it. =)

I mostly always use these four.
Colorzilla (mostly to check division ...)
Fox tunes
mouse gesture (must have)
live pagerank

I use firebug, operator, and colorzilla

"Google notebook" i cant live without it :)

Delicious
Greasemonkey
Google Notebook
Googe Reader Notifier
Google Mail Notifier
Performancing Blog Editor
Tab Mix Plus
FireFTP
FoxyTunes
1-Click Weather

Firebug and Web Developer (only extensions needed)

Google Browser Sync
Bloglines Notifier
Mouse Gestures
Tabmix Plus
Web Developer

I have a fair few extensions, however my top 5 are:

Download Statusbar - saves the annoying pop-up download window appearing, and it keeps it nicely organised at the bottom of Firefox

FaviconizeTab - can help out a lot at times (shrinks the size of a tab on the tab bar down to it's favicon)

FireFTP - VERY nice FTP client, is brilliant if you want to upload one or two files quickly without having to open up a client outside of Firefox

Google Toolbar - don't know why, but I prefer it to the built in search feature in Firefox, easy too use and I enjoy checking out the pageranks also

RSS Ticker - all your RSS feeds scroll across the screen, I have mine going across the bottom, quite simply brilliant

I have a fair few web development extensions but I don't seem to use them much :\

- Firebug
- Web Dev toolbar
- Faster Fox
- Image Got
- Flash Got

I will have to checkout download status seems like a lot of people use it, RSS ticker seems like a cool idea too. I never understood the concept behind image got and flash got.

Alright. Let's see here... I've also added a rating for each out of 10 to show which I like most.

Web Developer (9/10) - I use the real-time CSS edit practically every day. Not to mention it has a ton of other useful features like resetting cookies, validating pages, etc.

Tiny Menu (5/10) - Makes the FF top menu into one small menu on the left. Love it. Gives a little more real estate for sites.

Microsummary Generator Builder (8/10) - Very handy. I've got Microsummaries for my sites stats always visible and up to date in my bookmarks toolbar. I've got one that shows comments for my latest post on Solution Watch. Another that shows FeedBurner stats for my main feed and side notes feed. Also, I have two microsummaries for showing my unique visits and pageviews. I should add one to show my.9r points in my toolbar :-)

Translator (6/10) - Thanks to this plugin, I can translate a whole site with one click. Very handy as I do actually read a lot of Spanish and French sites (after translating, of course).

MeasureIt (5/10) - Little measuring tool that you can use to measure anything on a site. Click it and draw a box to see the measurements. Handy for when coding sites and measuring the width of divs and whatnot. I only use this every once in a while though.

All the rest that I've got installed I probably don't really need. I've been meaning to install FireBug as all the cool kids have it, but last I tried it didn't work. Hey, maybe I'll try again now.

Just installed Tiny Menu, good extension :)

I don't use the top menu much anyways, bar accessing FireFTP and my bookmarks.

Thanks a lot

Web Developer is all I need to get by.

fireftp
downthemall
stylish
greasemonkey
noscript
tab mix plus
popup master
firebug
clickngo (I wrote it for it's usefulness to me. Hopefully I'll get some time to enhance the features to make it even better)

menu editor
mr tech local install
add bookmark here
scroll search engines
mimetype editor

I use the Web Developer extension the most by a long shot, followed by FireBug. The others are used sporadically such as MeasureIt for a quick reference.
