After reading the NY Times. Guess what they found?
The existence of Pikachu.
Now all they have to do is find the island where all the Pokemon's live and that's the end of civilisation itself.

It only links to the image, which doesn't seem to reference the article title it belongs to — only the book "The Deep: The Extraordinary Creatures of the Abyss” by Claire Nouvian, from which the image originated.
No big deal though :) The website of the book has some more awesome seacreatures.

Thanks, I love the aesthetics of deep sea creatures. Odd that the NYTimes don't include a link back to the article from the image.
The "Caulophryne jordani Fanfin seadevil" in the article is awesome, and I'd really like a USB hub that looks like "Marrus Orthocanna".
