Notice: This is a paid review for The Scholarship Blog.
Sometimes, I wonder why I don’t run across things that seem like they should be right in my path.
So, I’m going to Chico State next year (which I just happen to like talking about with whoever will listen) and I’m very paranoid about how I’m going to pay for it. I’ve got notices coming into my inbox everyday from FastWeb regarding new scholarships, and when I get a bit of time, I surf random scholarship stuff.
This is where The Scholarship Blog comes in. After checking out, I have to say that it’s definitely getting added to the feed reader. It’s a blog about scholarships, obviously, but it’s so much more than that.
Every post is well written, which puts the reader in mind more of a journalistic site than an ordinary blog. There are no quickly jotted posts here. Everything is well thought out and well explained, so that the average person can easily understand what is being discussed. They also cover more than just a list of scholarships up for grabs.
Topics range from admissions to student loans, to related breaking news in the college world. For example, one of their latest posts is about a grade-fixing scheme at LaGuardia Community College in New York.
To top it off, there are sections of the site devoted to grants, loans, scholarships, and standardized tests. Each section contains valuable resources for each topic important to prospective and current college students alike.
Overall, if you’re on the lookout for scholarships, or financial related information for college, The Scholarship Blog should be on your short list of must-visit sites. All the news you need condensed in one easy-to navigate site.
