Just some things to keep in mind while you’re zooming around seeing friends and family today, as well as for your commute to work in the morning.
The folks over at the Car Blog have posted a link the some friendly driving advice, which we here at VB hope you take to heart this holiday. A few items of note:
- Always signal your intentions in advance. Use turn signals.
- When traveling long distances, take frequent breaks and rotate drivers to reduce fatigue.
- In the event of a minor accident, involved drivers should immediately drive their vehicles to a safe place, out of the flow of traffic.
- (And I’ll add) If you’re drinking, have a designated driver. If for no other reason, just think of the increased law enforcement on the road today (trust me, they’re everywhere). Injuring someone or spendng time in jail is a crappy way to spend your 4th.
I know, i know. This sounds like driver’s ed. Just be safe out there and have a hot dog for us!
