The folks over at the Car Blog have posted a link the some friendly driving advice, which we here at VB hope you take to heart this holiday. A few items of note:

• Always signal your intentions in advance. Use turn signals.
• When traveling long distances, take frequent breaks and rotate drivers to reduce fatigue.
• In the event of a minor accident, involved drivers should immediately drive their vehicles to a safe place, out of the flow of traffic.
• (And I’ll add) If you’re drinking, have a designated driver. If for no other reason, just think of the increased law enforcement on the road today (trust me, they’re everywhere). Injuring someone or spendng time in jail is a crappy way to spend your 4th.

I know, i know. This sounds like driver’s ed. Just be safe out there and have a hot dog for us!
