SimpleTech to Introduce First Two-Drive 3TB External Storage Solution
SimpleTech, a division of Fabrik, has released the Pro and Duo Pro drives with 3TB storage space and transfer data of 3Gb per second.
The highlights of the new features for Pro and Duo Pro include a new reinforced design for added reliability and durability, four interfaces (eSATA, FireWire 400/800 and USB 2.0), with eSATA, users can transfer data up to 3 gigabytes per second). Also, the Duo Pro will be the first two drive external storage solution on the market that will store up to 3TB of data, which will be available in Q4. The Duo Pro also offers configurations of RAID 0 and 1, allowing users to choose between maximum storage or added protection and reliability.
Adding another dimension in protecting your critical data both drives ship with the online protection of Fabrik Ultimate Backup, which provides up to 2GB of online backup free of charge and unlimited capacity and protection for only $4.95 per month.
Pricing and Availability:
SimpleTech Duo Pro: $279.99 for 1TB, $419.99 for 1.5TB and $549.99 for 2TB. The 3TB model will ship mid-Q4 with pricing TBD.
SimpleTech Pro Drive: $159.99 for 500GB, $209.99 for 750GB and $259.99 for 1TB. The 1.5TB single-drive model will also be available mid-Q4 with pricing TBD.
