The machine that is used to simulate Big Bang will be down for two months due to melted wires between two magnets causing helium leak between the Alice and CMS detectors. Without the liquid coolants, scientists have to turn off the Hadron Collider.

The Large Hadron Collider which scientists hope will unlock the secrets of the universe and its origins has begun a few weeks ago. Scientists will smash particle beams together at close to the speed of light inside the LHC in a bid to recreate the conditions of the Big Bang. Physicists were scared that the machine will create tiny black holes that would suck the planet in.
