10 Wonders Of The New China

Fueled by a surging economy (…), China will soon be home to the world’s largest airport, the world’s first fully sustainable city, and the world’s highest outdoor observation deck, to name just a few of its innovative architectural feats.

A slideshow essay of incredible Chinese architectural landmarks, both current and in development, including Dongtan Eco City: the self-sustainable metropolis mentioned above, being built from scratch to hold 50,000 with expected completion in 2040.

Eyes are definately on China as a growing superpower. Although who are we to call them growing? China’s population outnumbers America four to one; and by the Chinese calendar the year is 4702, the US just a spec on the timeline.
