03.07The government wants your children
At least that’s what California is telling the parents of approximately 166,000 home schooled children in Los Angeles.
Remember a few months back when the government in California decided that trans-gendered individuals could swap bathrooms, and that classroom material would focus less on mommy and daddy and more on minority couplings? Parents across the state reacted by pulling their kids out of the public school system and either enrolling them into private education where they would actually LEARN something, or going to the level of home schooling their kids.
A California appeals court has thrown the book at home schooling by attempting to run out parents who do not have a government recognized teaching certificate. Such a ruling would leave some 166,000 children in violation of public schooling truancy laws and could put their parents in danger of facing prosecution.
According to Justice H. Walter Croskey…
“California courts have held that parents do not have a constitutional right to homeschool their children. Parents have a legal duty to see to their children’s schooling under the provisions of these laws.”
As if he NEEDED to show his hand in the government and teachers union dealings… Justice Croskey went on to add:
“A primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare.”
No Mr. Croskey, the primary purpose in an educational system is not to produce good little sheep, it’s to enable your citizens to be productive, successful, and intelligent INDIVIDUALS. Your union is showing.
The government knows that we as parents don’t know what is best for ourselves and our children, just look at your Democratic nominees for the President. Both of them know we cannot possibly be successful and healthy on our own, so THEY must dictate our moves for us.
It’s a dark day in LA for sure. I feel sorry for your kids. (BTW, there are PLENTY of available houses and a far more open and parent friendly home schooling program here in Oklahoma for those of you who are getting stomped on)
