Or something like that.
Leftlane News reports that VW marketing has cited a weak U.S. dollar as being the “only reason” that the Scirocco will not be coming to America (I know, I just thought of Eddie Murphy too). Man, is the economy bad enough to keep VW, a brand that has struggled stateside, from bringing this hotness over here?
At any rate, we can only hope that VW will wise up and build a U.S. plant to make the possibility more realistic. Until then (or until the economy rebounds), it looks like the will have to sit on the sidelines on this one.

Yeah, I saw this too just before we scooted out of the office today. Sucks to be US…. get it… us, U.S. …….. nevermind. :D
I feel sick…this is truly heartbreaking.
At the very least, we can purchase them abroad and pay $$ to have them brought over on a boat, pay customs a tonne of $$, and then get them registered in our state of residence. $$$$$$.
