I have always considered Dan Rather to be a man with a lot of journalistic integrity. The Bush military service scandal struck me as being quite odd, which is why I am glad to see Rather fighting CBS solely for the ability to take depositions. Things are going to get very interesting from here on out. This will definitely be a case worth watching, even if the media is portraying the case as some form of revenge that Rather is attempting to execute against CBS News. Grab some popcorn and come along for the ride methinks!

This story really surprised me. Perhaps because of inattention, I’d assumed that Rather really had been guilty. And assuming just half what what Rather claims was true, this is very interesting and controversial stuff. I hope he wins.
I have always thought there was more than met the eye. I have always believed he was credible in his reporting.
