"Sustainable coffee is produced on a farm with high biological diversity and low chemical inputs. It conserves resources, protects the environment, produces efficiently, competes commercially and enhances the quality of life for farmers and society as a whole."

Discount codes for coffee

Grounds for Change is offering 15% off today only with coupon code BT62.  This code and a number of others for eco-friendly products came in today's Ideal Bite, which sends themed eco-tips 4-5 times a week via email.  I've subscribed for awhile and they are really worthwhile; you can sign up for free via the link in the right sidebar (it's the ad with the green apple).

Use the coupon code thanks2006 now through the end of the year at Global Exchange (link also on the right sidebar) for $5.00 off an order of $25 or more. In addition to coffees by Dean's Beans, Thanksgiving Coffee, and Peace Coffee, Global Exchange also has a lot of other very nice Fair Trade gifts.

Starbucks has a promotion at some stores in nine states where if you sign up at Starbucksconnections and make recommendations about your local store, they give you a $5 gift card. I signed up, but have not been offered an opportunity to comment or get the card, although someone gave me a flyer from the store that outlined the offer.  Of course, I suggest everybody tell Starbucks you'd like to see an organic, shade-grown selection offered daily, clearly noted, with information on the source so you can make sure they aren't trying to pull the wool over your eyes
