MacHeist 2 Bundle For Sale
Apple January 11th, 2008Most will remember the recent controversy surrounding the MacHeist 2 lead-up. Thankfully, this is in the past and the MacHeist 2 bundle is now for sale. It’s those two weeks again, the two weeks which were labeled as the week of indie Mac developers by many last year.
This years MacHeist bundle features eleven popular software titles for just $49 USD, the bundle is an excellent deal for anyone interested in trying out new applications. This years bundle is of excellent value, you’d pay $10 more for Pixelmator along (an excellent image editing application in comparison to Photoshop).
Phillip Ryu, MacHeist founder stated “Last year, our members were offered a choice of charities to have 25% of their purchase donated to. This initiative became a spectacular success, with $200,000 raised by the end of the event. This year, we’re hoping to shatter last year’s record numbers, and show how generous the Mac community can be.”

If you’re into Mac software, supporting developers and charity, and want to stretch your dollar and receive great value for money, check out the MacHeist 2008 bundle. At $49, you can’t go wrong.
I have one bundle to give away thanks to Phillip Ryu and the great folks at MacHeist. To be into win all of the eleven applications free of charge, simply leave a comment below.

Glenn,
Let’s cut the crap, you know I won’t pay for this bundle. Therefore as my “Neighbour” you should kindly offer me the bundle, which I will then refuse, to which you will reply, no I insist. I will then accept your gracious offer and be on my merry way.
Fair, don’t you think?
January 12th, 2008 at 3:18 am
Also in for the free one
January 12th, 2008 at 3:48 am
Thanks Glen, I’m a new Mac user and while the rocky road of transition is in my rear view mirror, this is a pretty slick set of apps. If I don’t win it here, I’ll definitely be a purchaser.
January 12th, 2008 at 3:49 am

January 12th, 2008 at 3:57 am

I’ll give it a try.
January 12th, 2008 at 4:19 am
Count me as well :-)
January 12th, 2008 at 4:30 am

With Speed Download added, this bundle is now even more awesome!
January 12th, 2008 at 4:50 am

Cool, glad to see they’re supporting some of the bigger Mac bloggers with MacHeist 2. I wasn’t as excited about this bundle as the last one, but I still may go for it.
January 12th, 2008 at 5:02 am
This year’s bundle is definitely better than the last one.
January 12th, 2008 at 5:13 am
Have use Cha Ching in the past and loved its simple and straight forward interface. Speed Download really does seem to speed up my downloads.

I’d appreciate being considered. Recently switched to Mac and curious what all this thing can do.
January 12th, 2008 at 5:45 am
I have AppZapper but would really love to have many of the other apps that are included in the MacHeist 2 bundle.
January 12th, 2008 at 5:50 am
Ooh, the bundle is back! I’d completely love to win a bundle since I have no way of paying for the bundle. So, I’m in!
Also, I’m looking forward to some new content on this blog soon, you’re posts are incredibly good, and I miss them!
January 12th, 2008 at 6:10 am
I love MacHeist! Great bundle this year.
January 12th, 2008 at 6:22 am
I have been testing most of these applications. Luckily I haven’t bought any yet. 6 out of the whole bunch would personally make a purchase worthwhile. Maybe I am lucky…
Other than that, I am a reader of your blog for about 5 days now. shawnblanc.net had only good things to ‘link’. I am liking it so far. Keep it up. All you folks inspire me to blog myself. However, I have yet to get started. ’tis always a big step not to drown in the vaste see.
Cheers, Christian

And another comment…
January 12th, 2008 at 7:23 am
I wrote a poem about bundles and it so happens it shall be my comment!
B - is for bundle
U - is for ummm…. Bundle?
N - is for ‘I Need this bundle’
D - is for ‘what’s the Deal’ with this terrible poem
L - is for Love; as in ‘I Love this bundle’
E - is for my screen names ‘y’ associated vowel sound!
Great bundle though! Really looking forward to getting pixelmator unlocked!
January 12th, 2008 at 7:53 am

January 12th, 2008 at 8:57 am

January 12th, 2008 at 9:48 am

January 12th, 2008 at 9:55 am

I’d love to get those apps.
On a side note, you are one of the few youth bloggers who are inspiring and useful to read.
January 12th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
Nice bundle. I wish I could have SnapZ.
January 12th, 2008 at 9:27 pm
Hello Glenn,
I’ve been a lurker for some months now, and this is really the time to delurk.
I never liked the idea of MacHeist, and I think I never will. It’s true that Phill put a spotlight on supporting developers by paying for software, but $49 is no money for 11 titles, especially when 25% goes to charity.
MacHeist is in the first place a marketing stunt created by Phill to win money for himself and he does play hardball with the indie-developers discussing about their earnings. Moreover, the ‘Delicious Generation’-applications offered do look nice, but most of the time it is to cover up their great lack of features…
To my opinion, if you really want to support developers, choose the applications you will use, and pay for them individually.
January 12th, 2008 at 9:34 pm
Looks like a great package.
By the way, awesome blog!
January 12th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
I’d really love those apps, but I can’t affird them, even at that rock-bottom price. :(
January 13th, 2008 at 3:35 am
What a great opportunity for a recent switcher to purchase some quality applications and feel good about helping a charity. I’ll be sure to forward the MacHeist details to our local Macintosh user group email list.
I hope they double the proceeds from the last event. Also, a big thanks to the organizers and participating developers.
January 13th, 2008 at 4:29 am
Its a better bundle this year and I love the fact that 25% goes to charity that just makes it that much more worthwhile!
January 13th, 2008 at 6:12 am
sounds good, and 25% goes to charity- even better
this is just what my new (first) mac needs
i have just switched and love it!
January 13th, 2008 at 7:56 am
MacHeist is awesome! I don’t know how those people figure out those missions sometimes…
January 13th, 2008 at 11:08 am
Another amazing bundle from MacHeist,
and Good Lord so reasonably priced!
I’m desperate to try it,
so I think I might buy it,
unless Glenn is kind enough to give it to me for absolutely nothing.
January 13th, 2008 at 11:36 am
Hey Glenn, looks like a handful bundle! I’d be pleased to try it! By the way your blog awesome! Greats topics, thaughts and reviews. Have a nice day!
January 13th, 2008 at 11:38 am
Count me in, who doesn’t enjoy free stuff? =D
January 13th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
But what I forgot to say
when I posted earlier today
is that Glenn is the king
of this kind of thing
(and the bundle I win I pray)
January 13th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Not that I’m desperate at all
nor at Glenn’s feet do I crawl
I’m simply saying
that I’m delaying
buying the bundle in case Glenn (who’s the King of the Kiwis) likes my prose and decides that it should be rewarded with this very lovely prize. That’s all. Honest.
January 13th, 2008 at 5:42 pm
Hey Glenn, CSSEdit is finally unlocked! :)
January 13th, 2008 at 11:26 pm

January 23rd, 2008 at 6:19 pm
Today is the last day to puchase the MacHeist bundle which now includes 14 strong Mac apps. I was happy to pick up the whole lot for less than what I was going to pay for Pixelmator alone.
If you have not purchased your copy yet . . . Please consider using my referral link
https://www.macheist.com/buy/invite/95740
I would appreciate your help in obtaining some bonus perks. 8)
Spread some karma around . . . Thanks!
January 24th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
Count me in for the drawing - unfortunately I don’t have the funds or the time to convince my parents to buy it for me, as there are less than four hours left - so I need all the help I can get to obtain this.

Hi Glenn
I’ve been traveling out of reach of email only to come home today and find out a few hours too late that I’ve missed something big. Would be really happy to get my hands on most of those apps. Please include me in your drawing. Thanks!
