Google will be the search partner for Friendster starting in Q2 2007. I originally found this story at Google Watch.

The plan calls for text and display advertising to run on Friendster members’ personal profile sites, worldwide, and the company will introduce Google Web search across the site in the second quarter of 2007.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Friendster’s deal with Google replaces a prior search deal with Yahoo Inc. (YHOO.O: Quote, Profile , Research).

This has to be a big move for Friendster and will hopefully be something helpful for this social network.
