RaidenX - Cool Flash Shooter
Yes I know there’s a zillion free shoot ‘em ups out there which you can read about in hundreds of blogs but I found this neat Flash shooter today and had some fun playing it so I thought that I’d post about it. It’s a tribute to the Raiden series of arcade games and it also reminds me of Flying Shark, which I’m very fond of.
I guess my only issue with Flash games is that they are never that smooth and you can’t play them full-screen (or can you? Please advise) oh and I don’t like highly compressed sound/music. If the programmer had made it in C++ or Blitz then it could have been even better but it would have lost that instant accessibility of a web game…so swings and roundabouts I suppose.

Agree? Disagree? Have your say...
I’m gonna answer my own question here. Some flash games seem to have a Play In Full screen link under them. Also on my Macbook Pro I’ve discovered that I can ZOOM into the screen so I can just zoom into the flash window until it’s much bigger, neato!
I totally missed the question - sorry
By default Flash runs in a browser but the latest version has the ability to run full screen built in. This was always possible via clever tricks though (eg re-open the game in a full screen browser window). Flash can also compile to exe and whatever the mac equivalent is and run them full screen.
Regarding speed - a lot of games are just coded badly, and some people try to make flash do more than it can but flash isn’t known for speed. The latest version of the flash player - which is being beta tested now (version 9) has a lot of speed improvements, and some of the 3d stuff I have seen done in it is very impressive - especially considering flash is still entirely 2d :).
well thanks anyway
So how do you enable full screen then?
EASY AS A PEACE OF CAKE
Sure but it was a nice piece of cake all the same
