Colors and Textures
October 21, 2006 on 8:36 pm | In General, Photography |Here are some photos that include varied textures and tones.

Life Lines
I liked the way this flower macro reminded me of veins, life lines of the body, carrying the breath, and the flow of life within us.

Flower Power
This is a small flower, but mighty in its colorful power.

Entwining
The texture blends in this is what attracted my eye, and also the fact that the vine, now old and twisted, is still full of life and strength, still beautiful without its embellishments, barren, but empowered and beautiful. It also reminded me of bodies entwining.

I appreciated each of these photos, exactly as you did. The last one, of the tree, is a metaphor for determination, struggle, an urge to survive.

Thank you, Annie. Yes, I agree, on the last one, and include its barren beauty, within your statement.
