Moods in Statues/Sculptures
September 17, 2006 on 12:03 pm | In General, Photography |Sculpture is an artform that can evoke extreme moods, expressiveness, and is an artistic expression that I enjoy viewing.

From the meditative aspect, to the shadows and flow, a sculpture or statue can bring serenity to the viewer’s eyes. Can you feel the daydream day?

Statues can also convey a sense of seasons, such as this lovely statue of a woman carrying the season’s autumn harvest. Can you visualize an autumn moment, where you can inhale the scent of harvest?

While strolling through Cheekwood Gardens in Belle Meade, TN., I came across this lovely statue of a woman who had finished bathing. The entire setting was one of calm and beauty. Do you feel the calming moment?

Statues depicting cherubs are no less emotional and conceptual. Do you feel the mood…as the cherub rejoices upwards?
