Remember when you could go down to the local precinct and cast your vote? Remember when you knew who won the same week you voted? I would think it’s safe to say that those days are a distant memory.

More than 10,000 lawyers have been deployed to “protect” us and make sure our election is “fair”. Thank God for democracy in action.

10,000 lawyers… that’s a hell of a lot of legal council to protect my ‘right’ to vote. I’m so glad I have someone who can hold my hand and help me vote for the person I’m supposed to vote for. After all, we wouldn’t want it to be unfair for someone.

Democrats -

The Democrats have around 7,000 lawyers who have been deployed to Arizona, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Ohio and 13 other states to ‘keep an eye out’. Along with the lawyers for the DNC you can add another 2,000 to the list for the Democrats from Democratic supporters such as The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the People for the American Way Foundation, and the NAACP. The Democratic Lawyers Council in NY will be deploying 500 local legal eyeballs specifically instructed to seek out examples of voter intimidation.

Republicans -

The Republicans seem to be focusing on getting people out to vote over regulating those who are. GOP spokesmen have stated that they have around 1,000 lawyers on hand but that the majority of those helping voters for the GOP are Teachers, Parents, Truck Drivers etc.

There’s no telling at this point but one can only assume that like the last few election cycles the man with more legal muscle wins… votes are an afterthought.
