Well if it wasn’t apparent in 2004 it’s apparent now, John Kerry is nothing but a windbag and a waste of a good seat in Congress.
During a speech to a group of college students in Pasadena, CA Kerry uttered the following, “You know, education–if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
Cute… You’re either smart, or you’re in the US Military. That coming from a veteran of that very same military.
So how wrong is he? Well according to the Heritage Foundation, the High School graduation rate of those who are in our armed forces is 82.7% while the national average sits at 79.8% and that was in 2004. The Heritage Foundations report on the subject was published four days ago.
Well obviously he would try to backpedal and make every effort to make it up to our men and women who are over there on the front lines right? Well not REALLY… according to Kerry now, he wasn’t talking about our troops, he was talking about the President. Well John, if that WAS the case, you think you would be a LITTLE bit more specific when speaking in front of cameras. I don’t buy it.
As for the rest of the Democratic party… where is the uproar? After all… they support our troops and wouldn’t want anyone to put them down when they could use the support right? Well so far I have yet to hear ONE Democrat stand up and demand an apology from Kerry. The best we’ve gotten so far is an Iowa Democrat who has asked Kerry to cancel his appearance with him, Kerry has pulled out of an appearance in Minnesota, as well as one in Philadelphia.
And here I thought the October surprises were over… leave it to the Poodle.
