Pelosi “claims” no impeachment

DNC

Nancy Pelosi was on 60 Minutes last night all but drooling at the possible (albeit inevitable) outcome of this years election cycle. Pelosi spoke about all of the changes that they will be making when they take control of ‘at least’ the House of Representatives. That was until she was asked the ever famous “so will you impeach President Bush?” question.

What was her answer? “Impeachment is OFF the table.”

Don’t believe me? Watch her lips as she says it.

I don’t buy it for a minute… with the Democrats in power you can bet your behind that the crackpots in this country will be calling them, emailing them and sending them love notes BEGGING their congressmen to impeach President Bush. We have you on record saying it… but why am I, or the rest of America supposed to believe you?

I think the Republican fear of a revenge for zippergate is mostly hyperbole. I’m a little surprised to see Pelosi take anything “off the table”, but I assume she means that unless new evidence comes out, it’s off the table. I guess this means she won’t move for impeachment over felony FISA violations, although that’s clearly an impeachable offense.

What I find most interesting is that she’s all but assumed the role of speaker when it isn’t even a given that she would be the one to get the job.

The best thing that could happen to this country is that little garden gnome that stole the last two elections winds up in the federal pen. He and Cheney along with the rest of the right wing religeous morons have put this country in the worst shape it has EVER been in. Kids are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan and “The Shrub” is worried about gay marriage. Katrina happened while the idiot spent a few extra days on vacation worrying about stem cell research. These assholes deserve to spend the rest of their lives behind bars with all the other criminals.

    Ok, Dick… first things first.

Don’t expect a warm welcome here with the “stolen election” bull crap. You can play that game in your own playground, it doesn’t fly here.

The best thing that could happen to this country is NOT to imprison the President, all that is is a distraction that would just spell disaster for this country. There are FAR more productive ways to disable a President.
