I received this video in my inbox this morning and I couldn’t resist posting it. The speaker in this film put a VERY eye opening light on the immigration (not JUST illegal) issue using nothing more than a chart and some gumballs.

An interesting discussion about the power of mass immigration to alter the nature of our nation. Further, consider that as our crop yields diminish due to warming, the carrying capacity of our country will be taxed by any population increase. Even when talking about the serious issues of the economic and social disruptions caused by mass immigration and illegal aliens I am especially disgusted by those people who claim that opposition to unregulated immigration is racist.
I’m a liberal, but must consider that conservatives have good ideas at times.

We should never be captives of some political ideology or the perception that an idea is good or bad because it is liberal or conservative. The world is not binary! Things are simply not black or white, good or bad, right or left and we are too ofte conned into thinking that way by the Main Stream Media- you know, the ones that are owed by General Electric and other huge corporations…. -

We used to have a word for this that was used regularly to describe what the lecturer discussed towards the end - ‘The Brain Drain’
This is also an economic drain on developing countries, so it’s bad both ways.
Typically, only the richer and better educated people in the 3rd World can afford to immigrate to the US, taking their capital and expertise with them. Which does nothing but further impoverish those nations.And then it tends to go downhill from there. Instead of spending humanitarian aid just on medicines,technology, ect to assist local professionals, we have to spend even more ‘importing’ and supporting professionals from (mostly) 1st and 2nd world nations to assist the more impoverished nations. And of course, the ‘imports’ expect to get paid what they consider insanely low wages, but are in fact far greater than what a local professional can expect to make.
That’s just money wasted when there are many fine educational facilities in many impoverished nations(Many better than their US counterparts).
The US just makes it so much ‘easier’ to move here, make tons of money and send it back to their families, often for the sole purpose of getting their families to move over here to and doing nothing to improve their own nation like start a clinic, a business or otherwise add capital to their neighborhood.Mass immigration is a lose-lose situation for everyone.
As to the Liberal Vs Conservative thing. The real funny thing(not really) is this:
If you analyze it this way, Mass-Immigration is great for the ‘What the Liberals Say About The Neo-Con Objective’.
After all, if educated and business-savvy people stayed in their own nations and built them up, we wouldn’t have all that super-cheap 3rd world labor that supports the MegaCorporations the Neo-Cons love so much.
The prices for Nike and Gap would sky-rocket!
If educated physicians stayed in their own nation, the rate of infant/children mortality would plummet, families would have less children and be better able to afford to educate their fewer children..oops..There goes the cheap labor again! Even worse, they’d *gasp* proly be advocating things like birth-control, or even abortion. The horror!
As for the illegals. You’d figure they’d absolutely love those guys. Which rich fatcat wants to pay a Mexican more than $1.50 an hour/14 hours a day to groom the 20 acre lawn their 4 story mansion sits on?And being very serious now because it’s very very sad. The need to stop illegal immigration is so great, if only because it will help stop the sex-slave trade.
I’m a rather moderate Conservative, and I agree with Dave. It’s not black or white. The moderates on both sides need to re-take control of their respective Parties.
We can agree to disagree on many points, but that doesn’t mean we have to instinctively start throwing spitballs at each other over anything and everything.Not that I’m implying Gerald was, but the political news today is simply insanity.

If ever I felt a resonsibility to do anything at all - anything - I feel the need to do everything in my limited power to actively seek reform on this vital immigration issue. I urge you, in the strongest terms I can express, to do the same. Do something today.

I was very impressed with the presentation made in this video clip on mass immigration.
while the presenter may be very knowledgable on the issues of mass immigration and its negative impact on Americans, he failed to give tangible reasons why people migrate to the US in huge numbers of recent.
There may be some truths in his demostration thta indicates rapid population growth in third world countries, to be specific, African countries but that can not be considered the main reason for the mass immigration because Africa has more land and resources to sustain her inharbitants.
One of the many reasons for the mass migration form Africa to the US is: war that disstablizes underdevelop and very poor African countries. Most of these wars are, fuel by weapons from the developed world thta fight to preserve peace, justice, and respect for human dignity. Power drunked leaders, and those intrested in controling the life line of everyones though initiate these wars but the weapons of mass destruction are of their creation.
In the absence of peace of peace, security, and respect for human ddignity in Africa and other parts of the world that breed trouble, the mass migration to America and other peacful nations of the world will not stop.
It must be known that all human kind desrve peace even in porverty or in riches.

Bush’s Global Gag Rule, imposed on his first day if office, must be reversed and all possible family planning info must be made available wherever it is needed, especially in third-world countries.

I, for one, find this presentation extremely disturbing. Have our representatives seen this? Do they find fault with the numbers? What is the problem with today’s politicians that forbid them from understanding this looming catastrophe. Why can’t they see this for what it is, a disaster in the making. I’m not an alarmist but this is frightening.

It is our responsibility as Americans, whether we have children or not, to help maintain a favorable environment for the generations to come. We must all contact our congressmen to stop this ravage of our nation.

I just watched the video “Immigration Gumballs” and I was overwhelmed by what I saw. I was interested in how others felt about this video and that is how I found this Blog.
The comments on the video were quite interesting. Most viewers felt the same as I did. Some were skeptical (ie-Ken) so I did a little checking up on the story.

So, Ken, you can see that immigration is not “at a record low” as you told Sheryl. Check your facts out before you tell people anything. Spread the truth, not misinformation.

The crime of the recent immigration is that is mostly coming from countries that have plenty of natural resources that should be used to better the standard of living of their pupolations. But their mostly currupt and inconpetent governments prevent this from happening. These governments are mostly too proud to accept our help to get their houses in order. Just look at Fidel Castro, Chavez,and many others in Latin America and Africa, all ignorant idiots that are “drunken” for power, as someone else said. We thus control our immigration in order to force the developing countries to put their house in order. This can be easly accomplished if those governemnts accept our investments and know how.
