I have a pic for the other side of the political ladder (if you consider McCain a Republican) that needs a good caption.
Biggest laugh gets you 50 points.

Nils, that's a photo of John McCain. He is running for President of the USA as a Republican (even though he's really a Democrat at heart)

Gnorb, McCain voted AGAINST the Bush Tax Cuts...
Not to mention, when did being a war hero mean you were automatically fully qualified for the Oval Office?
- He does not support adequate border security.
- He has sided with liberals to assault Free Speech, support Amnesty for illegals, install oppressive taxation to supress "greenhouse gases"...
- Stated that he believes Hillary Clinton would be an EXCELLENT President
- Has threatened to abandon the GOP to become a Democrat several times.
- Would have taken up Lieberman on his proposal to run as his VP in 2004
- Refused to support the Bush Tax Cuts of 01 and 03 based on his claim that he would not support tax cuts for the rich (a largely Democratic talking point).
- Supports due-process rights for terrorists
- Has routinely called to immediately close Gitmo followed by the introduction of terrorists into our federal prison system (BRILLIANT)
It's a cute cartoon REALLY...
It points out THREE things that one could say would align someone with the GOP... Hell I can come up with 3 things I probably fall in step with on Obama's platform, I guess that makes ME a liberal?

Yes. Yes it does. You damn pinko commie.
(Actually, I put that there because I thought it was funny, not because I actually agree with it. Also, I like the caricature.

Seriously though... after the constant digging and watching I've been doing today watching poll results show up all over the places (absentee counts and exit polling) I'm just PRAYING that the exit polls are as wrong as they were for Kerry in '04.
We look to be getting a RINO and a Socialist as a choice for the White House... OH JOY.

I'd love if any party other than republicans and democrats had a chance in hell of getting elected.
But they don't. Not at all.

Just look at the support Ron Paul got this year and technically speaking, he's a Libertarian Party candidate running as a Republican.
It does bother me that we're basically tricked the public into thinking money wins, and you can only be a Republican or a Democrat. How do we get out of that? That's a good question...
To say "any party other than republicans and democrats had a chance in hell of getting elected... they don't. Not at all." is not only dishonest, but dead wrong.
There have been many instances in history where a faction has surfaced in a two party system and essentially killed off a fairly dominating force. We didn't start off at a two party system, hell the founding fathers frowned upon partisanship. They saw it as a dividing force that could harm the country and a source of confusion amongst the people.
Boy, were they right.

You guys realize we're nothing like the average joe, right? We're a lot better informed, and we actively seek information.
Your average joe is spoon fed by the tv and newspapers, all of which focus on the two major parties. There are a lot of people that vote who don't even know who Ron Paul is. There are a lot of people who have never heard of the Constitution party.
I'm not saying it's impossible, or due to our political system that we have this two party reality. It's due to ignorance, apathy, and the media. Solve that and yeah, anyone can get elected. Until then the two party system is a reality. It can change... but I don't see any indications that it will for the foreseeable future. I vote for third parties, and evangelize about them. I think as more people start to use the internet as their information source we'll see a gradual change, and this will become possible.
