For those of you that celebrate Christmas, what are you asking for?

Maybe you are catching me on my off-day, but if you are going to post such questions (which is fine by me) could you at least answer them yourself as well to add a little substance behind the originating post. That would at least motivate others to do the same.
With that said:

woah, sorry. I was just interested, geesh.
And to be honest I don't know what I want for Christmas. Hopefully I can get some ideas here.

I've asked for the following in my Christmas wish list:
* Clothing gift cards (Old Navy, Parisian, Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, etc.)
* Medieval II: Total War PC Game
* Xbox Wireless Controller
* Xbox Wireless Network Adapter
* Blitz The League Xbox Game
* Phantasy Star Universe Xbox Game
* iTunes gift cards
If I get all that, Mattie will be a happy man. :)

I understand the interest, but I'm just trying to prevent an overabundance of these things happening on Notes. I love the discussions and some of them are laidback while others are serious, but that doesn't mean it should be just a post and run type of thing. It's like writing a blog entry and expecting everyone else to do the work before you have put in any yourself.
And to eat my own dog food let's continue with the list:

Things I'd like to get for Christmas that are totally unrealistic:
* Armand Nicolet Complete Calendar
* Akai MPC-1000 drum machine
* Some type of HDTV set

I'd like to see peace on Earth and good will towards men and women :)
I actually got an early unexpected Christmas gift thanks to one of my steady contractors that I do work for.
So what did I get you're asking yourself?
A shiny new Sony VAIO SZ330P/B laptop with Intel Core 2 Duo (2.0 GHz) Processor T7200 and a dedicated nVidia GeForce Go 7400 video card.
The thing is smoking fast. Some of the keys are in different places from my Toshiba but I'm getting use to it.
But prior to receiving this nice new laptop, I've been needing some new clothes, so yeah, I'd like to get some new clothes for Christmas and there is a long list of DVD's I'd like too.
The past few years I've told people if they want to get me something, gift certificates are nice so there isn't any issue with returns or wrong sizes.

Sweet rig, sean...I'd love a new laptop, but my parents have informed me the era of big Christmas's is over...so therefore, no more big gifts! LOL
That line reminds me of a West Wing episode...can anybody guess what I'm referring to? :)

mattplanet: i couldn't afford this thing on my own right now, it's a little over $2,000.00 USD, and if I had that extra around right now, it would go towards a new car... but if you look down at my official want list, it's pretty easy and low on the cash front, clothes and DVD's.

Mike, those MPC's are hot! I've only used one like once, but they are really fun.
For once in my life, I have no idea what I want for xmas. I'd say a PS3, but there aren't any games that I'm too excited about. I feel like I have everything that I want, and that' actually practical for a xmas gift.
I wouldn't mind a Macbook though.

I am of the younger generation however as I have grown up and became more mature should we say I have got less and less interested in bucket loads of presents. All thats on my wishlist this year is 2 DVD's and a PS2 Game, lucky for me I will also recieve cash ;) However I have been given an early present, that being a season ticket starting from now as there is a special deal on at the football club I love :P Thats definately an amazing present! (In my eyes anyway...)

@stefani: i found you a laptop within your budget, so contact me after your other deal is finalized.
@shadeofgray: I'm going to be selling my old Toshiba laptop now that I have the Sony.
If you click the link above, you can see the specifications of the machine which is now XP Pro only, I removed the Fedora partition.
Not sure if I can go into more detail in notes but after you look at my link and you're interested, contact me via my site and we can discuss more if needed.

Cat claw-proof 1000tc queen sheet set
Snowboarding helmet cam
Gore-tex snowboarding mittens
An advanced place on the Smart Car reservation list (the cash to pay for it too wouldn't hurt, either)

I got an early xmas gift from my mum and it was a dsrl Canon EOS 400D (Rebel XTi). It was pretty much all I wished for and I am overwhelmed.
Wouldn't mind if I got a 1-yr-subscription of the Web Designer Magazine too lol

A white LSU coaches' cap to wear perched delicately on my head during the BCS championship. And a win for the Tigers to match.
A new camera– maybe a D40x, a dishwasher, a new bed because ours is not made for two, some nice knives and cookware, and some $$ for new clothes.

A subscription to Fray would be nice. (If anyone's feeling generous, feel free!) And a larger penis, obviously.

Just start answering your emails, Rich, and one will be on its way.
I asked for snowshoes, which amazes me, because usually I ask for diamonds, perfume, and faux fur.

All I want from Christmas is my girlfriend and the company of my peers. I'll be spending this Christmas alone because everyone will be away with their family and friends. Having a Christmas that isn't spent by yourself would be a great enough.
That and Asus EeePC. Good stuff that matters. :)

I want to know how Rich answering emails will give him a larger penis.

sequential tail lights and bright white headlamps and fog lamps for my 'Stang
a couple of new books to read
iTouch (that's on the way already, I know)
That's the easy stuff. High on the list of more difficult things:
A decent job offer for my husband, so we can get out of here before March
more time to do everything

Cooper, apparently you do not get daily emails from those who would like to sell you something that will make your penis grow. What I love about these emails is that (a) they are going to me, a person who doesn't have a penis, and has never actually wanted one; and (b) there are so many, many words for "penis" -- because these emails use pretty much every one. My current favorite came yesterday and has the following subject line: "Elongate your short sword to fit her scabbard better!"
For some reason, maybe because I'm short on sleep these days, this made me laugh.

That job I've nearly got.
We are celebrating Sinterklaas today which is the Dutch equivalent of Santa but Sinterklaas is way cooler.
(pics courtsey of flickr users sebashamming & hoest)
He gave me a new Wacom tablet. WHOOHOOO!
So if Santa is still coming (he sometimes doesn't because Sinterklaas already dropped by) I'd be happy with basic stuff for my house. Plants, towels, basics.

Christmas just passed, but I have to say....when I was eight years old living in Long Island, I was playing outside with my friend Heather Peterson. As we were swinging back and forth on the monkey bars, I accidentally kicked her in her knee cap. She proceeded to chase me around the courtyard to kick me back. I don't like being chased at all. I began turning around to see just how far away from me she was before catching me. At some point I turned back around, and smacked my face right into the slide at the playground.Leaving two precise dents into the metal of my two front teeth, and flipping backwards into the dirt, my friend rushed off to tell my mom, "Patty ran into the slide and something white came flying out of her mouth." (My mother at this point praying to God it was gum.) But, it was my teeth. Four root canals and a set of porcelains later, I'd have to say that every year around Christmas, I only wish for one thing- my two front teeth.
