Curtains in my opinion; even if they're harder to clean, they look better. Especially if you've got one of those old iron bathtubs with the clawed feet and the bare copper pipes. Sometimes my own bathroom scares me with that thing in there. I could never give it up though.

"I'm wondering if you had the choice, would you put in a shower door or a shower curtain?"
Depend on who I'm watching.

I have an issue with the things that live on both. If I were redoing a bathroom, I'd go for one of those open showers that have glass blocks built up that don't use a door or curtain. Minimal contact, that's what it's all about.

Door. When that cold wet curtain sticks to to you, you'll see what I mean!

This is a tricky one.
Shower doors are great cuz you can splash around as much as you want without making a mess, the downside is that it keeps all the heat in the shower so when you get out your usually freezing your buns off.
With shower curtains you have to keep splashing to a minimum obviously and they do cling to you. But with the invention of the curved shower rod your problems are solved. you have all the room you need.
Still.... I'd have to go with the door, Just looks better. And after seeing a certain movie I've always had a fear of slipping and somehow getting tangled in the shower curtain. :-/

I have had a shower door in the past, and chose to go with shower curtains in my current home. I disliked the doors immensely.
I use a shower curtain liner on the inside, and a decorative shower curtain on the outside.

Curtains - they're so much easier to clean. Just throw it in the washing machine, and no more scummy soap build up. Try doing that with a shower door.

Shower doors don't need much cleaning. Just use a squeegee on them after the shower. No water or soap drying on the glass = no build up! Maybe every other week a little glass cleaner for that extra shine.

I say go with the door. It is so frustrating to be taking a shower and have that curtain billowing into the tub and touching your leg. And those magnets they put in the bottom of the curtains...such a joke.
Or am I the only one bothered by that?
