Just curious as to which university you attended (are attending or will attend) and which subject you read (are reading or will read).

I'll kick off. I went to Royal Holloway University of London and read Drama and Theatre Studies.

I went to Liverpool University and did a BSc in Archaeology. I then went to Southampton University and did an MSc in Archaeological Computing.

Looking back I kind of wish I'd read English, but I am still young. Plenty of time for a third degree!

I'm doing Medicine at King's College London, in my third year at the moment and suffering just before exams :\

I went to Gibbs College of Norwalk, CT and got an associates in applied science for the subject, Digital Media.

I graduated from Marlboro College in Vermont. The place is set up a tad different than normal where your junior and senior year you work with one, or two, teachers writing a thesis or creating a performance piece, play, movie, artwork, whatever field your Plan of Concentration happens to be.

I ended up studying post-War War II domestic and foreign anti-communism and wrote a thesis using the Peekskill Riots as a locus for exploring post-war anti-communism. Basically, McCarthyism whittled down.

University of South Florida, BS/MS in MIS.

College of New Caledonia (CNC) in British Columbia, Canada - Business Administration and Computer Information Systems.

I also went to BC Institute of Technology (BCIT) for a bit studying eCommerce and University of British Columbia (UBC) studying Web Analytics; but those were both minor stints.

I'm going to Sacramento City (community) college right now, to get an Associates in English. When I finish that, I'll be transfering over to Sacramento State (CSUS) to continue on with an B.A. in English.... something. Don't know if it will be literature or what. I really need to sit down with a councilor.

And no, I don't want to be a teacher. It's the only question I ever get asked about my major, and everyone always assumes the only thing you can do with an English degree is teach.

univeristy of texas at arlington - english, with a history minor.

university of notre dame - creative writing mfa.

in retrospect, i wish i'd gone for computer science ... still toying with going back for either computer science, information systems ... or graphic design. (why, yes, i do have adhd, why do you ask?)

oh, and i did teach english for 9 years ... it's fun, lisa! :)

University of New South Wales in Sydney Australia
Bachelor of Engineering Class I Honours in Photovoltaics + Solar Energy
Masters of Engineering Science in Electrical Power

Oxford Brookes Uni - I did a BSc in Intelligent Systems. Should have been a geography teacher...

i went to Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in Professional Writing

University of Colorado at Boulder, BS in Business Admin. (emphases: Accounting, IS)

Attending Grand Valley State University for a B.A. in Classics--double major in Latin and Greek, Minor in English, and Secondary Ed Certification.

Morehouse College, BS in Mathematics, Minor in English and Telecommunications

University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka. Reading for Bs in Information Technology.

>>lisa : Why with a English degree can't you go for a profession like copywriting ?

I'm at the University of Victoria right now, doing commerce (degree will be bachelor of commerce).
