I have a co-worker who complains and complains about her current status at work. I tried to make her feel better. I sympathized with her and even told her a couple of things (in terms of management) that I don't agree with. Before, I really felt sad for her because she's earning much less than everyone else. Or so I thought. I didn't know that she made a deal of some sort with the boss and I think she told him about the things I said. I shouldn't have believed her story in the first place.

Indeed office politics suck. It's really difficult to trust anybody here. One way or another someone turns into a snitch which is really sad. Oh, I forgot to mention that she peeked into somebody else's payslip and told a few people how much that person was making. Maybe she also did that to me because she's the who gets the payslips from the HR.
Right now, I'm just being more careful. I love my job but I hate the system. I guess I should really talk to the HR or the upper management. It's difficult to work with a heavy heart. :(
