Sorta a similar thing here too, except I live in Canada. No Apple stores around, so you have to take it to a repair centre, and they're so slow...

1.83GHz MacBook Pro w/ AppleCare:

No replacement, no solution to the random system/application crashes. Can't say there's been much of anything in the past few months though, other than application crashes.

Apple's amazing with anything else though - when my iPod Mini's scroll wheel died, I had a new one in my hands by the end of the week. When my next two sets of iPod headphones, I had new sets sent no questions asked. When my MightyMouse's scroll wheel died for good, they sent me a new one. (It's died again, but I haven't called yet.)

My Mom's '94 Buick Skylark. It's ugly and stuff, but it's only got 50,000km on it and it never breaks down so it's not that bad. :p

Dream car: 200x Mini Cooper. Not kidding.

At this very moment, I'm working on Halo 3 primarily. I beat it on Legendary, but I haven't gotten the achievement for it; gotta go back and sort that out. At the same time I'm also working on Skate (still), and I need to get by butt around to getting a few achievements in Yaris and Tetris Splash.

I've pretty much given up on Bankshot Billiards 2 at the moment, and I haven't gotten around to The Orange Box, Test Drive Unlimited or Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (thinking I might just sell it). For once I've got too many games to play.

Though I bought Super Mario World through the Wii's Virtual Console feature, I've pretty much given up on it as well. The Wii has once again been abandoned, and it's hard. :/

@Mike: 9rules aggregates a few things, but not the variety of sites FriendFeed does. There's more than Twitter, flickr and del.icio.us on the internet. ;)

@estarla: I can't say I've ever actually tried Jaiku, but the homepage doesn't exactly make me want to sign up. :p

Twitter. I tried Pownce when it first came out but there was nobody else using it and I really didn't care for the service. Twitter offers a much nicer experience in my eyes (I haven't noticed downtime in a while) and Twitterrific is great.

Since reading something about this on Digg not too long ago I've been trying to say "OS ten" but I often forget and just say "OS X" as I always have. It'll take some time to get out of the habit I guess.

I've got my MacBook Pro and a PC, but I only use the PC maybe once every couple months. The only time it sees regular use is when my MBP breaks, actually.

I don't go by words, but I believe my last few posts have all been in the 1000 word range.

I hate going to read a blog post to find out it's only a few lines long.

Upgraded tonight. I erased my Tiger install, installed Leopard and migrated my data from my SuperDuper! backup. Overall I like what I'm seeing, and opening apps happens 100x faster than they did on my Tiger install. Still, not to impressed that the second time I opened the new Mail it crashed instantly; I've only been using Leopard for about an hour. :p

Just open the damn box and upgrade already, there's no monumental changes that are going to destroy your system. If you're that worried just make sure you have a good backup.

I'm actually feeling fine today (which is unusual, usually I'm pissed). I bet it has to do with the fact that I didn't get several hours of homework today and I published my first blog post since June last night. =)

Personally, I don't care if it's worth it... I want to be able to run the new versions of apps I've already paid for; running outdated software is of no appeal to me.

My least favorite part would have to be my bed. I got this new Serta mattress not to long ago (it was a gift) and it's so uncomfortable...

My favorite item would have to be my MacBook Pro. It gives me lots of grief, but it offers the most things for me to do (I get bored, fast).

iPods. I was the first person at my school to buy one (a second generation Mini) and within a week two other people had an iPod. :)

I don't use one, and I never have. When I'm not at the computer, my MacBook Pro's display gets dimmed to it's minimum, and the computer stays on 24/7. I find screen savers to be annoying and the MBP often crashes when waking from sleep mode.

Surprisingly, the ipod touch after its 6th or 7th incantation still does not have a radio functionality.

The iPod Touch is a first generation product; it's not the new standard iPod (which, counting the iPod Classic as one, is at it's 6th generation). ;)

But yeah, I must say the screen isn't what you want to worry about scratching. With my iPod Touch in a Ziploc bag (makes a good temporary case) inside a special iPod pocket in my backpack, mine has already managed to produce several scratches on it's back, and I literally don't even set it down on tables / desks without it being set on it's polishing cloth. It's retarded.

Pre-ordered it from the online Apple Store last night.

I'd say it's worth it, but I can't seem to think of any reasons to list off.

+1 for Media Temple. I know I've bitched about them in the past, but I have no plans to move to another host.

Might I suggest that a description be added to the individual clique page that explains what it's about? For the most part the names are self explanatory, but it would still be helpful if there was a little paragraph or whatever explaining exactly what the group is about (like flickr groups).

I use IRC so little, Colloquy does the job just fine. I'm a total IRC n00b; I know how to join a channel and talk, and that's about it.

The quotes on bash.org are still fun to read though. :p

My family tried it at one point, but it never really caught on. So no, I don't.

My 360 bricked the day before Halo 3 came out, so I haven't gotten a chance to play it or any of the other amazing 360 games that have come out recently. All I've got to play is my Wii, so I've been trying to finish up Excite Truck for the past two weeks and I just started into Super Mario World (from the Wii's Virtual Console).

Previous to the 360 dying, I was playing Skate and Bankshot Billiards 2. As soon as I get a working 360, I'll be playing Skate, Bankshot Billiards 2, Halo 3, PGR 4, Test Drive Unlimited, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (came free with Halo 3), possibly some Orange Box and whatever other great games come out in the near future. I'm gonna be swamped.

Can't say I've ever bothered with Picasa, but I've been a semi-active flickr user for two years now.

Seems like a nice upgrade to the line up, but not enough to get me to upgrade from my 1.83GHz MacBook Pro. Now if Apple were to come out with a miniature, cheaper version of the Mac Pro...
