@ozone42 why am I getting the impression your are the pinnacle of web users that wear brown paper bags over their heads?
*is going to invest in dairy farmers*
thats so great...
this is a very entertaining video of web 2.0.
I think you have a skewed idea of what web 2.0 is.
Its not about the stereotypical rounded edges, glossy logos, and gradient backgrounds.
Web 2.0 is about creating a rich user experience!
Most importantly, Web 2.0 focuses on making your website accessible from more than just your www address. An example of these are widgets and RSS feeds.
Ofcourse it is going to become more common, the tech community welcomes those kinds of things!
I personally don't think you raise a very valid point at all. Are you suggesting that since everybody has cars they should go back to horse and carriage?
If your worried about being creative, take web 2.0 and expand on it!
THAT is dedication!!
Scrivs if you get it done can you post some high res pics? I'd love to see their quality of work!
i wasn't crazy about it...

i like using connotation.. i don't know why.. i suck...

i will post you an example as soon as i get home :)
if you are noticing spacing issues that could be a result of padding and margins on unorderd lists in different browsers. Try eliminating them in your css.
You can easily achieve this kind of effect using sliding or fading divs in mootools :)
what exactly are you trying to accomplish? can you send me a link?
I recommend using mootools.. it has alot less overhead..
I'm going back to my scriptaculous sites and redoing them in mootools.
i stand corrected.
Mootools does not run off of prototype
Mooltools is a javascript library, that runs off of the prototype engine.
It is great for DOM manipulation and nice visual effects.
Suckerfish is great. But you can achieve the same effects through mootools, or scriptaculous.
Binary - look at this site i did
Click the "upcoming features" tab at the top. This sliding effect was created using scriptaculous.
yes its possible.
I suggest using scriptaculous.
It runs off the same prototype.js file that mootools uses. But it has better support, and is used by bigger sites. Like digg, gucci, and so fourth.
It also has better docs for beginners :)
I can feel the love!!
Amen shadowsun! AMEN!
@jeff - I think you missed the sarcasm that was behind that comment.
My comment wasn't geared towards you my friend, I'm just saying that sending an ex sappy emails is not the best approach.
I'm sorry if I offended you :)
Forgive?
