nano is just better for some people- ie people who only have music and don't want their ipod filled with other junk.

FF has been crappy to me too :(
Why would you rely on an iPod for the internet? Most places there is free, open WiFi, there is a computer!
I don't. Waiting on the Gen2 touch- 16GB just doesn't cut it. Especially for 400 bills!
I do like the look of the iPod classic- 160GB will certainly last me a while... but how could I drop money on that when the touch exists? WiFi + Music + Vids = Amazing!! Unfortunately (weak storage + first gen bugs) ruins the equation..
thanks :)
I'm loving the feedback!!
Thanks for the feedback :)
(When I said "9r opinions", I meant "9r notes users'" opinions)!
From the feedback, it seems like I should not go with the fluid width, and go back to the fixed width. What originally bothered me about this is the excessive whitespace on wider screens, but apparently this is desired.
Looks like I have some work to do.
Thanks again!!
thanks :) its always good to hear I'm making improvements!!!
hahaha, thanks
In my experience, books are the best way to go.
Good luck!
@ focused: who said anything about 18? no one ever gave a "maturity age"...
A 13 year old guy or girl usually does not realize the reasons that the older person wants to date them. I don't want to hear any society BS. The fact is that 13 year olds are generally way too naive to engage in any sort of serious relationship (whether thats what they are looking for or not).
PLUS the relationship is a crime for the 17 year old party within a year anyways. Do you know why its a crime? Because an 18 year old is mature enough to know how to take advantage of someone that young, and the younger party is often too naive to realize this.
your parents are both older and mature.
its different when you're that young- you'll understand when you're older.
Yeah, scrubs will be back!
haha yeah, it was difficult at first- you'd be surprised at how quick you get used to it, though.
The Office and Scrubs- can't wait!
I'm a fan of both. Probably coffee a bit more than tea.
Pizza pockets!!
@carmodyarc and peroty:
Well, its not really a matter of me being so busy, I just didn't have an internet connection over the summer- I only got online about once every week or so (not enough time to partake in notes)!
@everyone else:
Thanks!
Just saying hi! I had a sweet summer, but unfortunately didn't stop by much (little internet).
Anyways, I'm back :) Hi everyone!
Firefox, Dreamweaver, Windows Media Player
I'm just glad I can test designs in Safari now (without asking a friend or heading over to the campus computer lab)!
Yeah, that is fixed!
Seems like things are falling into place over these past 20min. I keep hitting refresh to fix things!
I like it. I'm doing to have to go ahead and say that I definitely liked the old nav bar better (for now at least). But, like you said, I'll get used to that!
Now all you windows users can have a standards compliant browser too!
FireFox is, and always will be, better than Safari (even on a Mac). Those benchmarks on the Safari site are bogus! I did benchmark tests a few years back and FireFox outperformed Safari- I'm about to go for round two.. (I know lots could have changed since 2005)!
Just what eager Mac developers want to learn about at WWDC... Apple spending time developing Windows software. How exciting.
Good point. But if you think about it, as unexciting as it is, this is pretty important.. Windows = Most computer users. They need to develop for windows..!
what does everyone think? it's subtle, but it's there!
I think they're great.
To expand of what Peroty noted, they're very useful to first-time visitors. When I go to a site with a tag cloud, I immediately know what to expect from the blog. Whether I click on it or not, I consider it an extremely useful tool!
You need to study even the obvious things in order to have support for arguments for or against them. Studies such as this provide more than a conclusion- they provide evidence and statistics. Without them we just have assumptions and stereotypes; with them, we are closer to concrete fact.
Since April, one redesign.
just sent the friend request :)
I think it has to do with the fact that I'm on Dreamhost. My blog seems to be executing the code according to its own database, instead of the highfivehero database..
And for better or for worse I get the gist of my news (not really the news itself but a sense of whats important for the day) from those shows.
For worse.
I prefer Colbert- he tends to be a lot funnier and original (to me).
here are my warnings:
Warning: require(./wordpress/wp-config.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.server/username/mydomain.net/x-tumble.php on line 5
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './wordpress/wp-config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/.server/username/mydomain.net/x-tumble.php on line 5
@dreamweaver:
I'm messing around now, I'll post back soon :)
@JeffJ:
I could do that, but it is not what I want to do.. feeds don't let you customize everything, as I would like to do.
How about some more info about what you're trying to do?
I run a blog (linked to from y my.9r page). I also want to run a tumblelog (at a separate address). While I will run the tumblelog at a separate address, I would also like to show the most recent posts at my main blog address on its own page (still linking back to the tumblelog).
I think I have it 90% done thanks to your help so far, I just need to figure out how to run the wordpress code from the tumblelog address without 'confusing' the wordpress code at the main blog address!
I'm not calling it from within a WP loop. magpie and wpget are not ideal for me, though I guess at some point I'll realize that beggar can't be choosers!
OK it does work, BUT only when I take out require('./wordpress/wp-config.php'); and I assume its because it freaks out with two wp-config files loaded..
well I'm just about there- http://highfivehero.net/x-tumble.php works fine, but the include statement is not working.. I'm not giving up yet, though!

Apple is the same company that charges $1.99 to unlock 802.11n, a function that is built into the $1,100+ machine that you JUST PAID FOR!!
Are you really that surprised?
