Any Pownce Users?

Web Community — Posted: Feb. 28, 2008  ...   Last By: cpoteet @ 9 months ago

I've started using Pownce again, but all my original friends don't use it anymore. Anyway, if you actively use it please add me so I don't feel like such a loser.

List of Telecommuting Gigs

Does anyone know of a repository of full-time telecommuting positions? I would think as a web designer that there would be many, but I'm having a hard time finding any.

It's not the most usable app I've encountered. Tried recently to search jobs there.

Thanks for the help all. I did have to block and float the anchors. Darn IE.

IE7 CSS Discrepancy

Does anyone know why my navigation looks different in IE7 as opposed to FF2? I am baffled. Thx.

Horizontal Navigation Script Needed

Design Community — Posted: Dec. 10, 2007  ...   Last By: glebis @ 11 months ago

I know I've seen this somewhere before, but I want to create a horizontal navigation that when you hover over the top level it shows a row underneath. This site has somewhat of what I'm talking about, but their version is awful (that and I don't want to do it in Flash).

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Ya, Zoho is good. ThinkFree is good, and there is a new player called Live Documents that's suppose to come out soon.

I just said: "Why am I trying to duplicate MS Word everywhere?" and then I bought SharePoint.

I love the UI of Netvibes. Sometimes, I even look at it just because it's so beautiful, but I don't use all that much. I'm a Blogliner as well.

Auto-Replies: Yes or No?

Web Community — Posted: Nov. 20, 2007  ...   Last By: outernal @ 1 year ago

I am wondering whether to send an auto reply to my customers who submit an inquiry into my company.

I for one hate auto-replies, I'm all like: "I know I submitted a form why are you telling me that?" But I'm sure there are people do enjoy receiving one.

How do you handle the issue?

I know what you're talking about. I like to keep it for personal reference but don't want it available to the public so I mark it "private" in WordPress.

These are good explanations. I learned the most about OOP at my job doing C#. I really learned the power of OO when we started refactoring into our n-tier architecture (similar to the MVC architecture).

» Favorite JavaScript Library  ...  Last Reply: 1 year ago by alexsuraci.

I love Mootools for the effects and modularity, I love jQuery for the maturity and extensive API, but if I actually need to accomplish something I use script.aculo.us. The previous two I'm baffled on how to use them (especially Mootools).

There are other good ones such as extJS and Dojo, but at the end of the day if I have to design it I use script.aculo.us.

Why Doesn't my.9r Take Me To My 9rules?

Clique — Posted: Oct. 28, 2007  ...   Last By: Scrivs @ 38 years ago

Mike/Paul,

This probably is a small deal, but it bugs me to no end that the "my.9r" link doesn't take me to my dashboard. It takes me again and again to a splash page.

Also, where are the tags listed at that I add to a topic? I see them in the clips but not notes.

Tools For Web Designers

Web Community — Posted: Oct. 27, 2007

Everyone, especially computer people, love lists of resources. I do as well, and I decided it’s time to share many of the resources that have helped me in my career. All of these resources (except for the print books) are either freeware, open source, or the application offers a free version.

» CSS3: Do You Use It? Should You Use It?  ...  Last Reply: 6 months ago by archangelchuck.

It's time will come. Only with the release of IE7 does CSS 2.1 have wider commercial appeal. Remember that IE6 (the bane of my existence) is still the most popular browser.

On the Road to Armageddon: How evangelicals became Israel's best friend

For those who aren't familiar with the reasoning behind much of Israel's supporters from the Christian evangelicals. This theological system has given these evangelicals a lens to decipher current events.

» Jesus as Moralist?  ...  Last Reply: 1 year ago by cpoteet.

Don't you think that if Jesus is God (as I myself believe) then he would very much promote a fixed, absolute morality (cf. The Transcendental Argument for the Existence of God)?

Am I missing something? I'm in the religious community, and I haven't noticed churches promoting themselves.
