Their choice, their loss!
Their choice, their loss!
9!
Does that get me a prize, other than that of 'idiot' for buying so many?
Would love to hear from anyone that has actually unlocked an iPhone themself and what option/process they selected.
Am going to be doing this myself in the next week hopefully!
Cheers all - T-Mobile I knew about, AT&T is good news :-)
I am having the exact same debate:
http://www.chrismarshall.ws/?p=1004
At the moment I am going to go for the umnlocked iPhone, assuming that after the next firmware upgrade the unlock options still work or are fixed.
Would really appreciate a heads up on which cell phone carriers use SIM cards in the US and specifically which provide SIM only i.e. pre pay so can insert the SIM card in any cell phone that is unlocked. I know T-Mobile do (or did a year or so ago when I was working in US)
Thanks
Damn - have been 'away' for a while and got all excited by this as I started off thinking 9rules was open for submissions again :-)

I have a love hate with it. I have an account, but to date mostly so that I could mess about and understand iWeb for our cats site (http://morenosworld.com) which is pretty sad I know :-) With the ecent announcment of .mac web gallery it starts to more attractive (10GB of online storage), but the reality is yiu can do everything that .mac offers through other options and services. Probably cheaper not as convenient
Marmite, and my cat loves it as well :-)
Mac Pro and a second 23" ACD.
In fact waiting for a sales guy from Apple to ring me :-)
End of a great day - thanks to all for the b/day wishes :-)
44 today :-)
So how do you like to enjoy your birthday? Once I have posted this I am going to treat myself to a day away from the computer!!
Have already taken some early morning photographs up on the roof of Moreno, going to go for a run, take the Harley for a spin, go out for a (very) long lunch, take some pictures around the marina, then crash by the pool for a couple of hours then vedge out in front of Series 3 of 24!
Apologies in advance for the self promotion but there was recently a pretty good debate about this over on my blog, with respect to the hard drive options:
http://www.chrismarshall.ws/?p=835
Personally I fund Super Duper does a good enough job, and Time Machine is amazing!!!
I have had a test site since day one - best thing I did in many ways, not just for testing new designs, plugins etc but for checking out how a post will look before posting
I haven't been able to 'get hooked' by either of them. I am trying Facebook again, and in my limited experience I find it a better layout etc.
At the moment just the notes - more for some 'light relief' each day and to see what is happening in other parts of the world.
Hmm - I sort of think that meeting any ofthem would take away a lot of the attraction of blogging and participating in forums. The 'pictures' that are formed in my own mind are good enough for me - kinda like not really enjoying watching a movie having read the book as the characters never seem to live up to my own images.
The Secret River
A Fine Balance
@Gnorb - interesting. All personal choice of course but having eaten many many times in each of the countries you mention this would be my order of preference:
Spain
Italy
America
China
France
Porridge or Museli
Sometimes Fruit and Yoghurt
Couple of Sundays a month Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs
Nothing, zip, nada - not the current version, and probably not the one after that.
Have seen nothing but "It's great......but", "I wish it could ........" stuff posted these days :-)
Depends if you have Lemming tendancys! AND that is from a HUGE Mac fan - the iPhone however is the one product that holds no attraction to me. Why? Because I just don't need one!!
That's the real question - do you want one because you need to be in touch all the time, or do you just need a phone?
$129 if I remember correctly
44 this month and still blogging :-)
throw up usually ;-(
@ clicknathan - agree totally
As part of the 'fact finding' try and get a feel for how much he thinks it is worth to him as well.
Some people have no idea of the work involved, they see blogs and webs springing up all the time and think "I'll have one of them".
I always determine their budget and what it is worth to them - end of the day I can be more flexible on my rate than they can be on their budget, and once 'in' things usually grow in terms of rate, time, reward etc
I just did a post on this.
Personally I would look at a dual screen set up - don't be 'fooled' the 'mega bloggers' will end up with dual 30's :-)
Thanks all - that pretty much sums up my experience. When I posted mostly reviews I didn't bother with DIGG, but when I moved to more personal stuff I thought I should re-consider.
I hate people that 'chase' DIGGS but feel that it is a beast best embraced - not because I think a successful DIGG will result in increased traffic, but as part of an overall 'strategy' to develop traffic to the next level I think I need to be more involved.
If you have a Digg button or link on your site, which one do you use and why?
I have had an on, off, on currently off relationship but am considering going back on again regards my own site.
A link to your site so I can take a look would be appreciated.
Cheers
Real picture, real information - I want to make my blog personal.
Living in Spain I would have to put Paella on ths list. Traditionally from Valencia and made with rabbit, there are many types of paella, but lobster Paella has to be in the top 3.
Married for 15 years.
@cavemonkey50 - cheers, i have had that request as well, and actually saw over on Pownce that you weren't going down that route.
