Haha, interesting timing. I'm actually gonna bring in my framed Kindergarten Diploma to work this morning so I can hang it near my desk. Other than Nursery School, it's the only diploma I own (I didn't bother getting my high school diploma and I didn't go to college).

Unoriginal thought from Chris: Looks very nice, but I bet it would look nicer if it were less crowded. The whole 9rules team is stepping it up, though - I'm really digging it.

I don't know if it's necessary, but it's a definite help. And almost impossible for some people to be good at both.

But I know a lot of designers who do really great web work for huge clients who don't know how to program anything (even HTML/CSS).

It's pretty good. Many of the things I spend my time doing are things I would do if I weren't getting paid - so to get a nice paycheck from it is real nice.

The people/environment are pretty neat, too. That plays a big part.

Most of the people I work with are older than me and it really hasn't been an issue. I just get made fun of when I say, "Oh yeah, that song was a real big hit when I was in junior high."

Jay-Z (and others) have done plenty of stuff like that in the past, too.

I rarely get voice/ops. But then again, I rarely say anything in there anyway.

The Sopranos rarely ever gave the type of closure you find in most movies/television/books/etc. But for some reason, everyone was expecting one now.

I agree. But big-picture-wise, I think it's been about the same level.

I doubt the majority of high school kids in any generation were more super-creative than any other generation of high school kids.

I lose and gain weight sporadically and rapidly like I'm preparing for different movie roles.

For once I'd like to see Microsoft release something and not have the discussing degenerate into a bunch of Mac jackoffs giving pithy one-liners and showing off their trademarked iSnob attitude.

That said, Surface is awesome.

I'd like to see some notes where people aren't yelling at punk kids and violently shaking their fist, but I deal with it.

I'm sure they were working on it before the whole iPhone deal, but it's still funny to me that Apple is coming out with a touchscreen phone and Microsoft comes along with a touchscreen TABLE.

I like to split my time (the majority of it at home). Every now and then, I do want to drive to the office and get some work done and interact with others, but rush hour is not my ideal time for commuting to work.

At my full-time gig I'm officially a "Front-End Web Developer".

For a 3-person operation, they're doing quite a bit. I wouldn't mind reading more blog entries from any of the staff, of course. But I'd like them to stay sane, too.

When I'm up, my friends don't have to worry if they're down. When my friends are up, I don't have to worry if I'm down.

It varies from $3.50 - $3.80 in the bay area of CA right now. I saw it near $4 on a trip to San Francisco last week.
