What's your most favorite song in the world for the situation you find yourself right now, at this moment? If what you are doing right now were a movie scene, what would the background song be?
Right now, I'm playing beachball volleyball in the living room with my young son, while my baby girl watches Blue's Clue's in the family room and my wife is surfing her facebook page.
Right now, I'm just an ordinary average guy.
How about you?

I hate to admit it. But right now its The Call by Regina Spektor from the Prince Caspian soundtrack. It was either that or the full version of this:
You can tell I made the right call on this one...or not.

I'm going to describe a sensation that might ring true with other people - but it might not: Do you know songs that send chills down from your neck, down your arms, goosebumps everywhere, through your body and (I apologise for anybody that doesn't want to know) right through your balls.
Man, this post is going to come back and haunt me, I can tell already, but I just wanted to describe the power of this sensation. Only a few songs cause it. I find they're usually trance-y (Pendulum vs Prodigy - Voodoo People == awesome) but there's also some metal (lostprophets - Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja) that'll hit the spot, so to speak.
I mention balls but I'm not talking sexual pleasures here. It's about as orgasmic as a sneeze. No, maybe two sneezes. Oh I'm digging a hole again... Does anybody else know this feeling? Or do I have some form of synesthesia?
"Mason vs. Princess Superstar - Perfect (Exceeder)" is the latest song I've met that has this quality... And the video is pretty hot too. Enjoy.

Oli. First, wow.
Secondly, I know where you're coming from... not precisely, but I've gotten at least the goosebumps from songs. Apoptygma Berzerk's Eclipse is one that comes to mind.
I'm sucker for most anything that's got a good buildup to it. I don't think about favourites much, but this has been in the top section of my music rotation for quite a while.

I find that any song that has an honest, real and raw emotion to it that I can relate to in a strong way at the moment affects me at the goosebump (and yes even to the nads sometimes) level. As with Ozone, it's usually those songs that build up out of nowhere. it can be anyhing from opera, to classical to metal...as long as it's real. Most always though, it's really old school blues by cranky old men who know how to really rock emotion with their musical stories.

Antichrist Television Blues, by Arcade Fire.
I've been loving this song lately. I'm not sure why, but it's really intense. The song's about Joe Simpson, the father and manager (mostly the latter) of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson.

Had the Houston Texans on my mind today, and the song they use as their intro at home games has been in my head all day...
