I like this. I'd love to see a dark mario game. For some reason, this makes me think of The Crow.

Who created the Alice game for the PC? I wonder if we could convince them to create Dark Mario (and somehow persuade Nintendo to let them do it).

American McGee was the genius behind Alice, but I highly doubt Nintendo would tweak (even just a little bit) their storied franchise.

Ah yes. I know it was Tweaker (aka Chris Vrenna) who did the audio work but couldn't recall the company behind it. Shame on me for not googling it.

And I doubt Nintendo would ever let anyone touch Mario for a game, ever.

All I can say is I would be in envy of Nintendo owners' if they actually made a game like this.

Wow I loved Alice. I didn't realize people actually knew/played that disturbing/cool game. If there were a Mario version, wow.

I think we can all agree Nintendo would never do that.

But yes, I would love to play this game. And I still need to get my hands on a copy of Alice.

Yeah sorry about that Lisa, I will try to use my 9rules powers to talk to Nintendo to see what we can do about creating the game. And if you can still find a copy of Alice good luck. Oh and apparently Alice The Movie is being made starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Love the pic. Someone should take on the task of re-inventing Mario's world in this light (or darkness that is), which involves all original levels from Super Mario Brothers 1 through 3, but each level is totally deranged and innapropriate. I'd buy all three. :)

Don't think so, Peroty. Following the reversal of roles here, I have a feeling Bowser's gonna be the good guy ... he'll want to lock the two of them up for safety's sake.

Not sure if Bowser would run away considering this is how he looks when giving a realistic treatment.
