From the Clip Game sales up, but Nintendo shortages still impacting business posted by Tyme:
Group sales jump 54 per cent, but international sales suffer due to "insufficient supply of Nintendo product".
I'm really confused by this and when reports two years ago and last year said that Nintendo would be having shortages till 2009-2010 I didn't believe it, but it still is the case. It's still impossible to find a Wii at a store unless you have impeccable timing. It's almost as if people are collecting them or if they see one they have to buy it because they know how much in short supply they are.

I am still not sure if Nintendo is doing this on purpose to keep interest in the WII up or if it really is a production shortfall.

I wouldn't put it over them.
