What's your favourite chocolate - milk, white or dark?
What if you were only allowed to eat one type for the rest of your life?
I was asked this the other day and really struggled with the answer.. I eventually went for dark because I figured it's better for me than the others..

I'm not a big chocolate man, but if I had to go with any I would go with white chocolate. It seems to be the one I can eat the most of and put it in with a macadamia nut (sorry Tyme) cookie and you have a winner.

Ohh that is good. The macadamia nut combo does make it pretty indestructible.

Ritter Sport Feinherb--Dark chocolate with a chocolate mousse filling! My favorite chocolate EVER! I couldn't just pick a plain one, sorry...

Good call on trying to decide between dark and the others. I would have the same struggle, but in the end... milk chocolate for me. I would live off of chocolate if it were possible! :D

I'm a dark chocolate man my myself. When I visited Montserrat earlier in the year I bought some gorgeous 70% stuff - rich and full of flavour. Yum.

I heart dark chocolate. It has the most anti-oxidants.
But I don't like it the most because of that. I just like the richness. That was just an add'l "health" benefit, if you can call it that.

I know dark chocolate is better for me, and so I usually eat that, but if I were to choose, I'd want milk chocolate for the rest of my life. Creamy, smooth, sweet milk chocolate... fighting a craving right now!

I'm with Erin... milk choc all the way. White is nice, but too sickly and black is too bitter. alright in very small doses but NOT a substitute for milk.

Milk chocolate. There's just no substitution.
Add a little bit of caramel, and it's pretty much heaven in edible form.

Dark.
All the way.
I can't go much higher than 80% cocoa though.

Dark Chocolate, can't stand white, and milk isn't that great either.

No question about it ... dark is it for me. I could give all the rest up easily if I knew I could have dark.

Dark. To be precise, Green & Blacks Maya Gold, which is 70% cocoa with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Divine. Plus, the flavour hit is so intense that you can only eat a little bit at a time - that way, you eat less, so put on less weight.
That's what I keep telling myself anyway ;)

Is white chocolate even technically chocolate?
The wikipedia page on it doesn't cite any sources, but the authors do mention that white chocolate doesn't contain any chocolate solids or liquour... just cocoa fats:
Of course, as a dark chocolate consumer, I might be biased. :)
I like something in the range of 70-80%. Anything less than that is just too sweet.
