Not sure I'd class that as a proper rip. Yeah they've swapped out the logo but all the forms and email links lead back to you. Any traffic it gets potentially earns you money.

Anyway. Contact freewebs and inform them of the copyright infringement. I doubt they'll fight you.

That happened to me recently. Some guy did exactly the same thing, I noticed (he didn't remove the links) and sent him an email, telling him I know what he's doing and I don't like it, etc... He ignored the email and slowly modified it into a new site. Same structure, same HTML and CSS base, just different look.

Well someone's given me a great idea. As he's hotlinking my files, I ought to change one image to a pic reading "I stole this site from web.prdesign-studio.co.uk, go and take a look if you don't believe me."
Can't wait to do that one!

Or you could do the same and use shock pictures. I used to do that.

I'm not sure what the other guy is trying to accomplish, since he even left your copyright info on it. Maybe just keep your eye on it, and if he starts adjusting it for his own use, then take action. He might just be using it to learn how you built your site.

you can do that with a local copy, no need to upload.

I've heard this excuse plenty 'o times. "But I was just studying your code, I wasn't planning on making it visible to the public."

Ugh this is frustrating. Mine was recently ripped too. Just wondering, but is there any way to prevent this type of thing from happening?

My old site design was ripped multiple times. I really wasn't offended by it. I was actually kind of flattered. As long as they're not hot-linking my images, I don't really care.

31Three.com get's ripped off just about every month. In fact I wrote an article about it a few months ago. You might try asking them how they deal with it. They've had some bad ones.

I saw this quote on Zeldman.com (by Rudyard Kipling):

As long as it doesn't hurt you in any measurable way, let the losers knock themselves out. Of course if it does, then it's time to take action.
