What is the one moment throughout your design career that has made you fee the most proud of your work? Maybe it was winning a job with a certain high profile client? or making the Digg home page? or perhaps being featured in a magazine?

I'd love to know!

When I studied Interaction Design I did an internship at my favorite Dutch public broadcasting company VPRO. They have been experimenting as a broadcasting company on the Internet since 1994 and they have a huge audio (concert) archive at 3VOOR12 (OK I must admit, I am a freelance festival photographer for them so I'm in the promotion business). They recently opened four broadcasting channels at YouTube.

In 2001 I made several websites for them including a "History" portal which included all history related tv/radio programs for all the Dutch public broadcasting companies.

The site received an award for the best multimedia presentation in a prestigious Dutch film & television award contest, but for some odd reason they had my old phonenumber and old email address so they couldn't reach me for the granting :(

The site has been redesigned in the meanwhile to keep up with the current techniques as there is a huge tv & radio archive behind it, so the current design isn't mine (mine was way more colorful haha).

And you webrevolutionary?

Sounds really cool, Anne.

I'd have to say, being offered a position at YouTube (pre-Google aquisition). They saw the mockup I created of a new YouTube page, and asked me to come around and meet the team etc. Unfortunately I had to decline, due to living in Australia (plus I was still in school at the time). But it was nice to be recognised!

I always wish that client become happy at the end of the project.. there are several times..I proud myself..

following are several feedback which are left by clients for me on freelance sites.. they all are work with me always :)

Sorry in advance but I am really glad that I make my clients happy and I really would like to show that!!!

"Ravi is a freakin' ROCKSTAR !!! Do NOT look any further, he is the BEST to work with. Ravi takes his service quality very serious. It is very refreshing to find someone who actually cares about the long term relationship, not just the quick buck. He set up my OScommerce site beyond my expectations. He is very friendly and will not hesitate to teach you a little about design! I will definitely have a long term relationship with him! When I grow up, I want to be like Ravi.... :)"

"I posted a project for a very special form to be designed that would appear on all two hundred plus pages on my site. This was an emergency project that I needed immediately due to my old form being corrupted. DCM is the quickest and most professional company I've ever had the pleasure to do business with. DCM's "communication was absolutely outstanding" which is hard to find with many programmers. I would "HIGHLY RECOMMEND" DCM to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Again, Steven"

=====================================================

"DCM is the most excellent designer and programmer that I have met on this website. I am telling you that you won't find another like him here. He has done the best work for me in record time. I suggest that you allow him to do all your projects because he can do it and do it well. Thanks a lot DCM!"

" I'm very satisfied with the work provided, any shortcomings are either due to me or to the designer (not DCM!!) used. Showed great understanding and patience in project when I was unable to attend to it fully, and also showed patience when I had some problems due to this being my first project outsourced via Scriptlance. I would definately recommend dcm for other projects and hope to use him again!"

=====================================================

"How many ways can I say that DCM is GREAT! If you don't use him you're missing out on a great programmer!!"

=====================================================

"WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! This script was taking me a hour to fix, but Ravi got it done in 6 MINUTES! This was an amazing project. He completed the project before I could even send the escrow.SUPER PROGRAMMER!"

"All I can say is wow! I'm serious - this guy is the absolute best, fastest, most diligent person I've dealt with. Everything was done quickly and perfectly.He's awesome, and went above and beyond the call of duty for me. There's just no way that others can compare, and I'll likely go to him first from now on for anything important."

"The fastest programmer i have ever worked with. Fixed the problem i had for a week in 15 minutes. Excellent communication, high quality work and reasonable prices. Highly recommmended. Really a great guy."

=====================================================

"Outstanding - A breathe of fresh air considering some of the past experiences with some other programmers on scriptlance. I needed the project done now and it was done faster than I thought possible. Started the project right away and kept working until I was satisfied. Great programmer will definitely deal with again! Great communication - kept in contact during the entire project!"

When Collegepublisher featured my work in a case study (PDF Link), along with one other school from their 450-college network. :D It's nice to be recognized for the work you do.

My moment of awe and pride was when I was called via various contacts, to be the sole programmer and designer of a TV show related to dance music back in 2001. Before then, I had only done small websites and the odd flyer for events.
I was doing some light shopping at the groceries store when I got the call. I kept telling the man (the show's producer) to stop kidding around and tell me who paid him to call me with this bogus opportunity! haha! Can you imagine?

I eventually dropped my shopping. Went straight home to get as many mockups ready for whatever they wanted. I had the site up and running in just over a week! It was a typical caffeine powered coding week! And I loved it!

This opportunity opened so many doors and I later worked on even larger projects.

My proudest moment so far was last week when i finally made the decision to resign and start my own web design company (hmmm early mid life crisis!)

Nice, creativeaccess. I wish you the best of luck. My proudest moment is kinda mushy. lol It really goes all the way back to the beginning when the company, who I still work for today, hired me.

The reason it's so special to me is that I don't have a formal degree in design. I started off teaching myself in 1997, after dropping out of the University of Cincinnati's industrial design program. (Lots of things going on back then)

Global Cloud hired me based upon what they saw of my work at the time, not only on the fact I have a degree or not. That's a big sacrifice for the company I think. And what an incredible blessing for me to be able to get a job in the industry.

To amplify the situation, at the time I was working as an assistant manager at Wendy's. lol So it was wonderful to be able to make the jump from that to Interactive Designer. :P I don't ever want to take that for granted!
