I'm still tweaking my new blog and partly in response to some early comments I decided to try a new banner. The old one is still visible in the first post. What do people think - A good improvement? Not so much?
Thoughts welcome.

Still seems lacking 'something' but it's a LOT better than the last version.

It's a little 'flat' still right? Initially, that was intentional. The theme of the blog is 'dark humor' about my job. But maybe I went overboard on the dark and forgot about the humor?

I think that's it... it feels like it's lacking structure... like most of it is just floating around.

I agree, there seems to be little cohesion with the rest of your blog. I'd try boosting the contrast, get rid of some of the middle grays.
