Definitely some good reasons to like it. I wouldn't say the API or ability to customize templates is outstanding since some of it can be quite esoteric until you get the hang of it, but once you do it can be very, very powerful indeed.

Well, it seems like you already named all the reasons as to what makes WP so amazing. I would have to double agree with you on the "community" aspect of it. It is great and everyones always willing to put their services out there to make it even better.

Everything is said - agreed. WP was actually the first and only blog platform that I know how to tweak so far.

I only know it is better than blogger and I have yet to have either my self hosted or my free wordpress accounts hacked - which happened to me at blogger several times.
I also so like being able to customize the self hosted although for people with little knowledge it can be a dangerous thing to do - that is the only real problem - it should come with a warning.
