I would love to get thousands of comments a day. Because I do not have the time to spend on my site that such a large number of comments requires, I only have a meager audience. I doubt most of the blogs here get thousands of comments a day.

Stick with it and keep looking for ways to connect with your audience. Every successful blog hits 100 at some point. You've accomplished that so work on a new goal. Make sure that you spend some time every day reading blogs about blogging. There's some great free advice floating around out there.

I meant 100 visitors...
I had 100+ visitors a few months ago on one post. It felt very good. Especially when you write about a subject that doesn't interest everyone.
I'm awaiting my approval for my first e-zine article about blogging for the non-profit writing. This is maybe a next step? Write an article elsewhere and refer to your blog?

I think I'll go for 500 by years end. Then I need some way to get the message out to the media. I am on a mission with my blog -- better understanding of the officers that patrol our streets. That will be my big hit...

Congrats! I used to get about 30/day. After the release of my first WordPress theme, it jumped up to an average of 100 uniques/day, with the actual numbers of visitors fluctuating a lot. I'm hoping that the number of uniques gets even higher with the recent release of my second theme.

congrats! I find it hard to get that many visits a day...i guess my blog sucks! at least I enjoy it! hahah

My blog went nuts when I published 2 sets of RSS vector icons under a CC license. It got picked up by a good few blogs and since then my unique visitors have been on average 150-200 a day.
Usually when you post on forums and websites, they ask for a URL so the curious reader tends to click my username which brings visitors to my site.
Well done though, it's a good feeling to know that you are posting content that is read by many :-)

I get an average of 1000 / day on my blog.
