The Group Face of 9rules

Written by Scrivs on November 27, 2006

Last week I wrote about the public face of 9rules and got a lot of great responses, but none signifies what 9rules is better than what Thomas Silkjaer has done. The true value and the public face of 9rules will always be in the company it keeps and the community it builds.

When you work like that it can be either a horrible thing or a great thing. We like to think we have a good thing going on here and as long as we get done with the Round 5 list before 2008 we should be kosher for a bit longer.

    Really Nice Design!

I want to cooment about a really nice system I have found:

Template4U is a place to find your Template at excellent prices. Just 9,99!
The products are completely customized in Photoshop and ready to use!

You can Browse the collection of world class design templates and choose your favorite design.

I love it when you guys update, otherwise I get worried that you have all overdosed on caffeine or that your eyeballs have fallen out. Keep it up! :)

Oh man…I’ll just come back in the new year and see what happened while I was gone. I don’t care what anybody says, I know I’m not the only one sweatin’ whether or not I got in. ;-) The suspense is killer, even more than a month after the submission round.

Damn you Scrivs! Once I think I’m out of 9rules’ grasp, it just pulls me right back in!

  4. Chanpory Says:

The suspense is certainly agony right now. But good things are always worth waiting for. Am I the only one obsessively checking here for updates several times a day? I think this blog is laced with crack.

  5. AsceticMonk Says:

Hahaha…no, you are not the only one Chanpory. I am obsessed too.

  6. Torley Says:

    Familiar faces here! Greetings! :)

That’s a really nice mosiac’ed logo too, it’d be cool to zoom into it and see it crossfade into a “9Rules City”.

    Gotta respect your inspiration!

  7. Andrew Faulkner Says:

Lovely work, mate. Must’ve taken ages to do.

  8. Justin Kistner Says:

It’s been a pleasure to watch 9rules evolve. This picture nicely illustrates the growth of the community and that it is made up of individuals.

  9. Jason Says:

Very cool. I like where 9rules is headed.

  10. Inserit Says:

Any word about the list release??

  11. andrew wee Says:

    the man said before 2008.

    think positive.

what if he had said before the beijing olympics or before vista is totally bug free…

you’ll just have to wait your turn to get those 10,000 daily uniques…

  12. Jackson Says:

So, since you are not looking for a certain percentage of sites to add to the network, and you are just looking for quality sites, can’t you start announcing some of the new sites that made it?

I mean there have to be some blogs that you are already sure are going to get in. Or were all 1190 of our sites that bad? ;)

I can see the announcement now…

“When the Round 5 submission timeframe came to a close I posted ‘maybe every single one is amazing’, well, I was wrong. I have suffered through 2 months of reading 1190 highly mediocre blogs. Of course, to call some of the blogs mediocre is being incredibly generous. I do want to thank everyone who submitted in Round 5. Unfortunately you did not get in. None of you. Not a single blog was accepted in Round 5. Now quit wasting my damn bandwidth with all of that refreshing!”

Or maybe that is just meant for my blog ;)

  13. LorriM Says:

How wonderful for you to create this, blending the community together in this manner. Beautiful and well done. Bravo!! :)
