The 1200-10 Club

Well it is over and done with and to say our expectations were eclipsed would be a huge understatement. I’m not sure any of us expected 1190 sites and if we did we wouldn’t admit to it. We are excited and very exhausted from what has been going on over the past 24 hours, so we will keep this entry low key and you can expect a more thorough analysis of Round 5 tomorrow. For now we would like to thank everyone that submitted. We know it’s not an easy thing to put your work in front of others for critique, but you took the plunge anyways and for that you deserve our congratulations.
We will also go over the Number Game to see who came out on top. And finally thanks to our Members who have stuck with us through all of our mistakes and trust us with the direction of this wonderful Network. You are about to have some new brothers and sisters soon.
Now when will everyone find out if they made it? Let us wait for the dust to settle then next week we will nail down a date to post the final listing. Thanks for your patience.

Brian Garret seems to have won with 1169. Sucks because I almost picked that. Went for 1069 instead. :’(

Congrats on those crazy submission numbers. I wonder what the ratio of good vs. bad vs. great blogs is compared to the other rounds. Probably a lot higher amount of real quality sites.

I don’t know if I should start trolling this post because I lost the number game or if I should congratulate you for passing my guess by 191 entries.
I’ll have to sleep on this one.

Well, based on the last results, there’s only about a fifteen percent chance a site will get in. That means of those 1090 entries, only about 164 will be entered. Of course, that is just working the numbers. Good luck everybody who submitted.

Sorry, Typo. 1190 entries x 15 percent is approximately 179 entries.

Jackosh: unfortunately we can’t do that because we like to respect the privacy of those that submit. Its hard enough for some people to submit to strangers, but to have it in view of thousands just isn’t fair to them.

This was a pretty fun experience. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the sheer excitement for something like this, but in the end, it made sense. Now it’s just a waiting game. Should be fun

9rules round 5 is over…
With almost 1200 websites submitted on this round (1190 to be exact) is almost the twice the size of round 4 with only 700+ website. I was in the 9rules IRC channel and we did a countdown till 12 midnight. If you dont know, The 9rules Network is a net…

Wow! I never thought that there would be so many. It sure trumped Round 4’s 700 number, which just seems measly in respect. Good to luck to all, including 9rules staff. It’s gonna take a lot of work for you to sift through all those sites!

Personally, I’m hoping that the network manages to bring in more members to some of their less “populated” categories. However, I also hope, at the same time, that they don’t lower their standards in order to do so.
