9rules Submissions Round 2
Written by Scrivs on June 27, 2005
Many people have been wondering when the next round of submissions would be taking place for entry into the 9rules Network and I am happy to announce that we will open them up this Friday starting at 12:00 AM Eastern time. Once again we will only have the window for submissions open for 24 hours so if you are interested in joining make sure to get your entry in between 12:00AM and 11:59PM on July 1st.
We are looking for all types of content-based websites and if your site is different from what we currently offer our readers then even better.
There have been a couple of great discussions concerning the 9rules Network, but the best one to date was started by Matthew Pennell. The entry and the comments go into great detail as to what the network is about and how everyone is starting to view it. If you would like an inside perspective on how things are going for members then you might be interested in Darice’s perspective.
Unforuntately, after the last round was over I missed emailing some of the people who submitted their sites to explain why their site was not accepted into the Network. If you are one of those people do not hesitate to email me at scrivs{AT}9rules.com to let me know of my oversight. I have no excuses for this happening and would like to correct it as soon as possible.

Things come in time Brian. You’ll not have to wait long for what you seek.

I missed the boat last time, but I think I’ll apply. I can’t be right across the street from ChrisJDavis and let him steal all the smalltown limelight.

Dave: The process of selecting a blog is slightly more complex than the following - but the gist is this: We evaluate each site based on its content and how consistent the quality of that content is. It isn’t necessarily the frequency - but consistency.
The overall look and feel of the site does play a role, but we never base our decision solely on aesthetics since they can be adjusted if needed.

So me being deployed and not having access to a computer is probably going to put a dent in my steam of blogging…’eh? Oh well, maybe I’ll try when I get back, it will be Submission Round 10 by then…Doh!

Well, I’m quite sure I won’t get it, but no harm in trying.

9rules Network Round 2
9rules is having their 2nd submissions in 2 days. Their going to accept some good websites and I want this one to be one of them. Although, I do not focus on my posts alot, but I focus on the design. I like to modify things, remove, and add things to …

A question … is the 9 rules network LIMITED to blogs only? I am interested in applying however my site while it is blog style is NOT driven by a blog tool. That being said we will have multiple RSS feeds added to the site very soon.
So does it have to be a blog?
June 28th, 2005 at 9:06 pm
Hmm, I think I will try submitting my blog on July 1st, just to see if I get in.
June 28th, 2005 at 9:46 pm
Hm. Unfortunately, I’m going to be away from town on the 1st, but I don’t think my blog is anywhere near ready yet. Though I am satisfied with it aesthetically, I sitll need to develop my writing style for this blog– and that takes some time.
I’ll tell you one thing though– I am more than excited to see the next bunch of 9rules sites added to the network.

When will the applicants know their fate?
(and will you set up a ’subscribe to mail’ option on these comments?)
July 4th, 2005 at 11:24 am
Michael: We will go through the applicants as fast as possible - being as fair as we can - and let everyone know.
We like to go in order of submission so as not to miss anyone.
And yes, I will be upgrading this blogs features soon enough.

I appreciate that you keep this blog going and allow comments. To me feedback is an interesting part of a blog.
