I just wanted to share these photos of the incredible hand-made birthday gifts my friends gave me. They rock!!

Birthday PresentsBirthday Presents
Birthday PresentsBirthday Presents

1. My friends (including my non-geeky friends) often call me "the Web 2.0 Girl"

2. Notebooks for Random Access Memory

3. Extra memory and my avatar in pixels.

4. Control-Alt-Delete (if I ever lose my keys again)

Those are thoughtfully awesome, silvertje! :) Any geek would be envious of rolling deep with your clan!

These are amazing. Love the notebook. Still have a keyboard around somewhere; think I'll make me one of those Ctrl Alt Del keychains too - for myself; I don't have cool friends like this :-)

Where do I find friends like these? :(

That is so cool! You have awesome friends :)

That avatar in pixels must've taken ages to do! You've got quite a bunch of friends there, Silvertj.

*I'm jealous* ;P

Thanks for the great response, I'll pass it on!! I'd been away for a few weeks and in the meanwhile they'd been pixelpushing to the max :)

And number 1 and 3 have pins so I can wear them as jewelry ;)

Wow! Those are all wonderfully awesome and creative. You're soooo lucky to have friends that know just what you'd like!

I love the Web 2.0 GRL one...that's so cute. You have some really creative friends -- I love it!

Amazing, the creativity and the time they put in for you, them be keepers

How sweet and thoughtful! Your friends think a lot of you.

that ctrl alt del keychain kicks ass

We have party for a friend who is leaving for Singapore tonight. He is getting a Return - Home keychain. Hahahaha!

Your friends are made entirely of win, awesome and geek!
I love these! :D

Absolutely awesome :)

Many years ago, I surprised my college age son when I couldn't think of what to get him to decorate his suite. I teacher was retiring and had several Macs in her room that haven't worked in years. She gave them to me and I took them apart with screwdrivers to find the motherboard. I made them into the background decoration for a clock. The shop teacher let me use his tools after school so I mitered the frame. The clock innards were at Wal Mart.
Being not into technology, I honestly would never, ever like this gift personally, but my son loved it very much!

Awesome gifts!!Art from waste is a wonderful thing. You are so lucky to have afriendship with them

OMG this is AWESOME!!! Can your friends make some for me??? lol

(seriously, they'd make a fortune on Etsy with craft like that.)

Thanks for the tip! They / we've been thinking about selling this kind of stuff. Not because we want to make big money but we thought people might be interested and we love getting together, listen music, drink some wine and craft.

I have an account on Etsy... I need to find my box of "for sale" items and post them.

I love that site.

I moved and misplaced the box of goodies... :)
